Well it has been a good week after a very rough start to the year. Hope to finish it off strong. I will try to do that with:
TOR -115 115/100
Not much to say here. Just backing Halladay at what seems like a good price. Toronto is slowly starting to hit the ball and the main player who is coming out of his slump is Delgado. So if he is hitting I think the Blue Jays are worth a shot here. Ponson has been up and down this year and is 5-6 w/ a 4.06 era vs the Jays. Halladay is 9-2 w/ a 2.26era vs the orioles. Halladay currently has a 28-6 k/bb ratio to Ponson's 7-8 ratio.
MIL +105 100/105
Sheets #'s vs STL are pretty brutal but right now he is pitching extremely well. Suppan actually has worse career #'s vs the Brewers so I see decent value getting Sheets at home at close to even $. Sheets did have a bad outing vs STL in his 1st start. However reports were saying he was working on his delivery in the spring and that may have been partly the reason for it. After that start he has been excellent and the Brewers are 5-1 vs the Cardinals this year.
CIN/PITu8 100/100
Tough to take an under considering the runs that are being scored in this series. But each team brings to mound arguably their best pitchers. Oliver Perez may not be considered the staff ace with Wells and Benson but his #'s are very solid this year and as good or better than those 2. I watched Acevedo pitch against ATL last week and he was very effective and has been so in all his starts thusfar. Listed ump is 45-54 under the last 3 yrs and has always had a above avg K% and K-BB ratio.
ATL/FLAu7.5 105/100
John Thomson is another pitcher with great #'s in his starts this year. The under is 5-0 in his last 5 road starts. Dontrelle has been very effective so far and has done well vs ATL in his limited appearances against them. Under is also 7-1 this year at Pro player and under is 7-2-1 in Atlanta's last 10. Both bullpens have been very strong and listed ump is pretty neutral as far as I can tell so nothing there that would sway me off this under.
Have leans to MON+140..CLE +105..NYM and the under (no line on that game last I checked). I will add them here if I decide to play any of those. Gl to all today.
