yesterday 3-0 +300
ytd 22-19 +589

Well it has been a good week after a very rough start to the year. Hope to finish it off strong. I will try to do that with:

TOR -115 115/100

Not much to say here. Just backing Halladay at what seems like a good price. Toronto is slowly starting to hit the ball and the main player who is coming out of his slump is Delgado. So if he is hitting I think the Blue Jays are worth a shot here. Ponson has been up and down this year and is 5-6 w/ a 4.06 era vs the Jays. Halladay is 9-2 w/ a 2.26era vs the orioles. Halladay currently has a 28-6 k/bb ratio to Ponson's 7-8 ratio.

MIL +105 100/105

Sheets #'s vs STL are pretty brutal but right now he is pitching extremely well. Suppan actually has worse career #'s vs the Brewers so I see decent value getting Sheets at home at close to even $. Sheets did have a bad outing vs STL in his 1st start. However reports were saying he was working on his delivery in the spring and that may have been partly the reason for it. After that start he has been excellent and the Brewers are 5-1 vs the Cardinals this year.

CIN/PITu8 100/100

Tough to take an under considering the runs that are being scored in this series. But each team brings to mound arguably their best pitchers. Oliver Perez may not be considered the staff ace with Wells and Benson but his #'s are very solid this year and as good or better than those 2. I watched Acevedo pitch against ATL last week and he was very effective and has been so in all his starts thusfar. Listed ump is 45-54 under the last 3 yrs and has always had a above avg K% and K-BB ratio.

ATL/FLAu7.5 105/100

John Thomson is another pitcher with great #'s in his starts this year. The under is 5-0 in his last 5 road starts. Dontrelle has been very effective so far and has done well vs ATL in his limited appearances against them. Under is also 7-1 this year at Pro player and under is 7-2-1 in Atlanta's last 10. Both bullpens have been very strong and listed ump is pretty neutral as far as I can tell so nothing there that would sway me off this under.

Have leans to MON+140..CLE +105..NYM and the under (no line on that game last I checked). I will add them here if I decide to play any of those. Gl to all today.

a-train,

I use 2 sites for that. ESPN and CNNSI. Reason I use both is CNNSI has a pitcher's w/l, era, batting avg against, k/bb ratio etc vs a certain team. However since all the same players from last year are not with the same teams this year, I use espn as they have a pitchers #'s vs the teams current roster. For example a pitcher may be 5-4 with a 3.5era lifetime vs the Orioles. However that does not factor in how he does against their current roster, like newcomers Tejada and Lopez. Whereas espn has the pitchers #'s vs the Orioles current roster. But when it comes to all that pitcher/batter info those are the 2 sites I use. GL today!

Adding..

MON +140 75/105

Not going to play this for my normal amount since Montreal is hitting so poorly. I did take them to win last time Day pitched but that was vs the Mets and the Philly bats are improving. But I wanted to check lineups before I made this play so apologies for the late post. Day has great command right now so I think this is worth a shot. For whatever reason Day has a 1.5 era less in day starts vs night starts. But to me he is the best pitcher right now on Montreal's staff. Padilla has good stuff but but can be a bit up and down and Phillies are 2-5 in his last 7 starts. Also he had a 4.85era during the day last year to 3.13 at nite. Might be reaching w/ the nite/day splits as I rarely consider them but with Day showing great command I think Montreal has a chance here.
