Patterson's #'s have been outstanding in his 3 starts. He will probably come down to earth soon but I will back him here. Lieber is off to a good start but current Nationals hitters have a career .326bavg in 135ab's vs him. In Lieber's 8-4 win on apr4 he did give up 10 hits in 5.2IP. WAS has the better team bavg (.276 to .253) and the better pen #'s (5.34era to 6.44) and both of those are even more in favor of WAS in each teams L10 games. Burell also listed as doubtful tonight.

Mostly a play against Drese who has been terrible in his career vs SEA. Current SEA hitters have a .395bavg in 124ab's vs him. Piniero has a 3.65era in 66ip vs TEX. His 2 starts this year have been pretty bad but I expect him to slowly improve as he comes off his shoulder injury. A game w/ 2 pitchers who could struggle could come down to the bullpens and SEA has the clear advantage their.

Might be basing this play too much on Erickson's bad #'s so far (7.80era/.328bavg against) but still think its worth a shot. Diamonback hitters have a .307avg vs him in 137ab. Ortiz has been very sharp in his 3 starts w/ a .220bavg against and a 1.21whip. He has always been a good road pitcher and ARZ overall team batting avg is pretty close to LA's. Big concern about Arizona's pen so I am hopeful Ortiz can last a while in this one.
