La.Tech +10**(-125) - Bought the pt. - Winner
Really like La. Tech in this spot. Boise St. has struggled to get its offense in gear like season's past. Broncos allowed Wyoming to put up 17 last week and this spells one thing, Broncos defense gives up pts. and unlike years past the offense is unable to make-up for their defense. They can no longer match you 2 scores for one by the opposition. Tech has been tested and played very solid opponents in Miami, Mich. St. and Fresno St. With a quality win at Mich. St. and a big home conference game I like Tech to not only cover the 10 but possibly win outright.

Georgia -11.5** - Winner
The 'Dawgs get Alabama coming off a devastating home loss in OT after blowing a big lead. Mike Shula will get outcoached by Richt in this contest. Georgia should be able to run the ball on the Crimson Tide defense and I believe the Georgia defense will cause 'Bama all sorts of problems on offense. With Georgia coming off a bye week and 'Bama now going on the road with a fragile confidence, if the 'Dawgs get two quick scores this one could get ugly.

about 4 hours old and not sure if this matters for your selection....
but thought would throw it out in case.

Louisiana Tech senior running
Ralph Davis has been suspended for Saturday's game against Boise
State for a violation of team rules, the school announced
Thursday.

Davis has split time in the Bulldogs' backfield, starting two
games and rushing for 192 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Sophomore Ryan Moats will start in Davis' place this weekend.

Louisiana Tech has split its first four games, falling to Fresno
State, 16-6, last week in its Western Athletic Conference
opener.

Col. St has been very disappointing this year. Losing last week to Utah was a huge game for the Rams. The Rams needed that one badly to get back on track but again their failure to hang onto the ball keeps on hurting on them. Turnovers and an average year so far from QB Van Pelt and RB Houston has me thinking Fresno St. could win this outright. Bulldogs are very well coached and just never seem to shoot themselves in the foot and always capitalize on TO's.

Arizona +29** - Winner
I am going to bite on the Wildcats believe it or not. A couple of reasons. Firstly, RB Farmer will finally get the load on the ground for the Wildcats and this should sustain a few drives and keep the defense off the field which has been their problem this year. Secondly, I look for the coaching change to give the Wildcats a little boost as many players had quit on Coach Mac.
Thirdly, the Cougars could have that classic letdown after two huge blowout wins over Colorado and Oregon. The Cougars don't have much to get up for this week as their talent is superior but I believe Arizona does enough to stay within the number. Wash. St. is going into a bye week and you know how coaches get worried about teams coming off big wins and now facing a weak opponent.

La-Lafayette are going into their 3rd straight road game. Of course that angle has not been a profitable venture so far this year. But it won't matter Saturday as the Cowboys will cover this number with ease. Fields and Woods will have another big day just like last week against SMU.

Cal Bears looked solid last week in their emotional in-state win against USC. Every year it is a profitable venture playing against a team that went at least 3 OT periods the week before. It will be tough for the Bears to get up emotionally for this game. The Beavers looked solid last week against ASU both in the air and on the ground. Of course they are a different team on the road but with Riley having his team progressing at the right time of year with conference play starting I like the Beavers to get a win by a TD. Too many people on Cal as well.

Many people on Wisky and I just like the way Michael Robinson played last week in relief of Mills. He brought a spark and a confidence that their offense has been sorely missing all year. I can't see the Nittany Lions dropping to 2-4. They can not afford to fall behind early as they need to establish the running game with Austin Scott who had a solid 95 yds. on the ground last week. I think Wisky gets caught looking ahead to OSU next week in Madison. They would love to avenge their 19-14 loss last year to OSU where they let that game get away from them.
Nittany Lions move to 3-3 heading to Purdue.

1st Half Plays:
Ok. St. -20** - The Cowboys should run away early in this one. - Winner
Florida -7* - Rebels defense should be the cure for the Gators offense that has been inconsistent. - Loser
Georgia -6.5* - 'Dawgs jump on the Crimson Tide early and often. - Winner
S.Miss +4 - QB Damian Carter will give S.Miss some consistency on offense to go along with a solid D. Cincy is coming off the big in-state rivalry game against Miami, OH. They might be a little emotionally spent. - Loser
