Leafs/Pens - How do I start this one?! Pens paid little attentiont to detail all game long. They played like they expected the Leafs to roll over for them. Leafs played such a great team game.......I was impressed how they played for one another......I havent seen that kind of trust in each other with a Leafs team in a long time.......and I saw that on Wed. night. That has to be encouraging for Leafs. Pens were in the box all night......Leafs went 1 for 8 on the PP but Pens couldnt get any flow taking sooo many penalties. In the 2nd period, the Pens took alot of lazy penalties...hooking, tripping and slashing. Pens didnt deserver this game at all. Crosby looked better tonight but man the Pens PP has to take one or two less passes at times......just get the puck on the net. Pens PP got far too cute! Leafs full value for the win!

Bruins/Rangers - NYR jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead and had to hang on for the win. Torts decision to put Gaborik with Nash paid huge dividends for him. Bruins dominated the faceoff circle and had the Rangers chasing the puck all night. Not sold at all on the Rangers. They still arent doing the little things enough and their D is not getting in the shooting lanes enough like they did last year. Bruins played a strong road game.

Back tmrw morning with quick info from the 2 late games.

Da question #2. Who are Habs?

Montreal.....sorry man. The H in the middle of their C on the crest of their jersey stands for Habitants in french. Just in case you were wondering how they got such a different nickname.

Gaborik and Nash together look dangerous

Stopping that duo will all come down to match ups. It will be interesting to see what pairings teams send over the boards on defense to defend them. NYR on homeice will make it tougher for teams to match up having last change......definitely something to watch!

Jackets/Yotes - Tale of 2 games, Yotes owned the 2nd half and this Jackets team flat out quit skating when they got behind 4-1.......Sullivan and Ekman-Larsson did all the damage but the one aspect that stood out to me was the youth of the Jackets.....nobody drove the net, they played perimeter hockey and its going to take time for this team to learn. Teams will take them lightly some nights but when this team figures it out, they will be just fine! Watch for the status of Mike Smith, he left the game early in the first period and LaBarbera played quite well in relief.

Flames/Nucks - The depth of the Nucks scoring is showing in a huge way as the Flames hung around and actually played quite well in this one. If not for Schneider, who basically stole the game......the Flames would have had their first win. I watched about half of this game......so not as much to say on it.

YTD 19-13 +10.69 Units

Going small on my plays today....for now! Unless something comes up with a surprising goaltender makes a start.

NYI - ML(even) for 1 Unit
Rested Isles team that will play loose on the road and Tavares always has big games in home area. Plus I truly believe the Leafs sunk a ton of emotional energy into last nights, which usually means a letdown.......and if the Isles can finish their scoring chances, looking for a 3-1 type of game.

NYR - ML(+103) for 1 Unit
Very leary of playing the Rangers in this spot tonight. They got their first win in OT last night while the Flyers rested up and they need it without Hartnell and Briere. If the Flyers were to lose they would be 0-4 and embarking on a 4 game roadie so this is a game they have to have, I see them playing quite desperate tonight. Will that offset the talent gap between the 2 teams remains to be seen. So for those reasons, that is why this is a small play.

Canes - ML(-120) for 1 Unit
I have been burned by this team twice to star the year and again in this spot I am leary of playing them. Buffalo has looked really good to start the year and it will be interesting to see if Cam Ward can play better as he has been dreadful in his first 2 games, while Miller has been off the charts! I just think Muller has his team ready to play tonight and that the Staal brothers are overdue for a big game!

Sens - ML(-120) for 1 Unit
I will ride this team until they lose. They have looked terrific out of the gate and their depth has shown as they have had scoring from all four lines. The reason I am not playing this game bigger is that I truly believe the Panthers will bring a much better effort than they did in their 2 game roadie in which they were outplayed badly! I like Dineen as thier HC and the Panthers do play better on homeice, still I think the Sens will find a way to win against a team they have dominated over the years.

Good stuff. Question is, when was the last time he played a game? Will he be rusty?

I know Bishop will probably start for Ottawa tmrw night, if not, he will on their 3 game homestand.

Same goes for Biron with the Rangers, he will get a start very soon.

At some point, the Flyers will consider sitting Bryzgalov.

Enroth confirmed for tonight......he is solid but might increase play to 2 Units.

Theodore/Andreson
Lundqvist/Bryz
Nabokov/Scrivens
Enroth/Ward

These are the confirmed starting goalies for the games I have played.
