Way off on my totals. 0-2. Went 2-1 on sides. Down 195. Will be taking Anaheim tonight. I just can't decide on RL or ML. Any suggestions?

Anaheim has won the last 4 meetings. The last two times the Angels have won by a combined 16 runs; 10-1 and 9-2.



ANGELS PROBABLE STARTER: John Lackey (2-2, 2.86 ERA). The rookie right-hander faces the Tigers for the first time as he makes his eighth start of the season. Before being called in early June, Lackey was 8-2 with a 2.57 ERA in 16 starts with Triple-A Salt Lake. Lackey is 1-1 with a 2.50 ERA in his last three starts. He gave up one run on six hits in 6 1-3 innings last Wednesday, striking out three and walking three in a 2-1 loss to the Boston Red Sox.

TIGERS PROBABLE STARTER: Powell (1-1, 6.00 ERA). The right-hander makes his third start of season. He won his first start of the season, on July 26, and followed the victory with a loss in his last start, on July 31, when he allowed four runs and seven hits in six innings of a 5-2 loss to the Seattle Mariners. Powell went 10-3 with a 3.92 ERA in 20 starts with Triple-A Toledo before being called up in July.

Anaheim has shown in my opinion that their bats can and do have life to them once they get a hit or two in the first few innings. This early confidence seems to really motivate the team as a whole.

The only downside to this game is that Detroit can spoil good teams....

good luck on this play...im looking at it myself...but detroit has screwed me a few times this year playing against.."SUPERIOR" TEAMS and good pitchers...and im a little concerned about the angels losing that game yesterday to the yanks the way they did...coming off a series like that they may be in for a let down against this team...but statistically and trendwise the angels look like the play... good luck...COOZ
