Fadeaway throw from halfcourt, you don't want anyone trying to foul anyone there. If you lose a game because of a heave like that, so be it.

you foul them before they inbounds the ball, then you foul them again, and then again, then they go to the line for 1-1...and have to make a free throw, then miss one, and get the rebound and then make a shot...that's what you do to prevent that halfcourt shot

This is the dumbest thing i have ever read. What are the chances that half court shot goes in? 1 in 100? Maybe more. What are the chances they make one miss one, get a tip in - much higher. I can understand fouling in a lot of situations, not there. If you try to foul and you foul him while shooting well that is even worse, then they get 3 fts. You have clearly never played the game if you think that fouling there is a) easy and b) a better option than a fading away heave from half court.

Instead, you resorted to calling everyone a bunch of names plus the typical ****'d out racist nonsense. Classy.

And if you foul them at half court inbounding the ball that's playing into their hands because then they get a sideline out right there and can run a play for a MUCH better look at the basket. When they run a pick and a guy has a wide open look well then you look pretty stupid.

Bottom line, if the game comes down to a fading heave three from halfcourt you will almost always win, if it goes in so be it.

In the final seconds of games, I've seen more half court shots made than the scenario I presented.

Sorry for hijacking your thread BA. Good luck the rest of the night.
