What kept you guys? Been going in bookies in England since I was 11!! No kidding. Bookies are legal in England, although the minimum age for entry is 18. No one cared back in those days.

Made my first bet with a bookie in the pool hall I hung out in when I was in high school, probably around 16. Now I am 61, still bet on sports and still hang around the pool hall!!!!
I am not a big bettor, biggest bet over the course of a season is 110, mostly 22s and 33s. I get so much entertainment value out of handicapping and betting and looking at all the MJs threads, that it is way worth it to me, even if I lose a little over the course of time. Casinos bore me and I consider them the scourge of society (other than the sports books, of course!) so I would rather gamble on sports!
