FLORIDA +1/2 -135 over Rangers

MINNESOTA +1/2 -135 over Philadelphia

Same as yesterday, both are to win $100. Both are short dogs getting the half puck just like yesterday. Both were handicapped basically from looking at the lines at a few key books.

Part of my new NHL handicapping and handicapping in general is to take things one day at a time. Right now I am just looking to make a $50 profit each day. Seems like an easy thing to do perhaps, but when you think of how many folks actually make $18,000 per year wagering on sports, obviously it is quite hard to maintain long term. Mama always said set your goals high.

Good luck tonite, Nick.

Just curious, are you gonna play totals with this new method of watching line movements? I'm asking because all year long I've been having a hard time on totals, and looking to find an edge on Vegas.

ddubs,

Right now I am just starting with the short pups. If I find that I am able to do well there, I may branch out and look for other plays. For now I am taking it slowly.

kickserv,

Thanks for the wishes. I hope this does not come off as if I am saying I am going to make wild make up bets to try to hit my $50 goal each day or that I am going to bet back late plays once I have hit the $50 plateau. It just means that I am going to track my bankroll closely in $50 increments and set my goal at keeping up with that pace.
