I dont know if anyone has encountered this, but my PS2 works, but I have no sound. I have tried it on a few different tv's and the screen is all good, but not a peep or anything. You think it could be the cable??? i use the svideo cable and the red/white cables for sound. I dont know if it could be the actual unit either. that would really really suck than:shrug:

kdogg, same thing happened to me. I have a PS2. If you remember, the original cables that came with the PS2 that plug into the t.v. were yellow (video), and red and white (right & left speakers for sound)......I just pulled out the white plug (leaving only red and yellow hooked up) and the sound came back. It's worth a shot if you haven't tried it already. You're using a more dependable set of wires, so I'd bring it in and have it checked to be sure.

kdogg, have you played Enter the Matrix? I just bought it but the copy was a defect. The original, here in Costa Rica costs about $65, it's crazy. I've had to bring it back 3 times but every new copy I get freezes in the same spot, every time. I even went to a completely different place, bought another copy, the same thing happened, it froze in the same spot as the others. All my other games are working fine, so I'm starting to think it's my PS2. It just doesn't make sense. Any ideas on that?

Well its 2 years old and the warrenty is up. I think im just gonna buy a new set of cables, that might do they trick....Thanks guys. BHB, i haven't gotten that game yet but i heard it was preety kick ass, like i said before though, all my games work fine, but there is just no sound.
