On the course!
Why are all of these talking heads crying about the timeouts being called the last couple of weeks before FG attempts?

"This rule needs to be changed!"

"It's just not right!"

STFU!

Coaches have been doing it ever since they have been allowed to call timeout from the sidelines, but two weeks in a row two teams have been screwed by it, so now we have to have a cry over it?????

Big deal!

And I lost in Pick Em pools both weeks because of it!

How would you police this? You can call a time out at any point during the game EXCEPT when a team is lining up for a kick. WTF kind of shit would that be?

Sounds like huge sour grapes to me.

I haven't been crying, but I do wish there was something that could be done. It is perfectly legal to call a timeout...

The thing that sucks is that so many times the play happens before the 22 guys on the field know there's a timeout. So, in that regard, it just seems wrong and I can't necessarily explain why.

One thing is that coaches shouldn't be allowed to call timeouts. One of the 22 guys in the game should have to call it and the ref stop play immediately.

Mainly for me, that Raiders game (week 1) just seemed like such bullshit.

Imagine your team is losing (not tied) and you kick a 50+ yarder to win it...and then you realize you have to do it again.

Like I say, its just hard to explain, but that game just seemed like crap to me. I'm all for icing the kicker but don't let him make it and then tell him he has to kick it again.

Either stop the game or don't...

Biggest thing though is to just go back to having players on the field call a timeout.
