And...it?s Big East Conference play tonight as the Cats head down to DC to take on the 2-2 Hoyas at 7:00 pm eastern. Nova is -11.5/143.
Georgetown is 2-2 with wins over Coppin St and UMBC. They lost to West Va and Navy. They have 5 seniors to rely on. Their big guns are Jahvon Blair (20 ppg) and Jamorko Pickett (14 and 10). They also have 3 grad transfers: Carey, Harris and Bile. The Hoyas matchup with Nova size wise but not talent wise. Their pace tends to be a bit on the slow side. Last year, Blair and Pickett gave Nova fits.
To win and cover VILLANOVA needs to rebound and force turnovers....and, of course, shoot well. Since Nova has a tendency to play at the level of their competition, this is probably the correct line tonight. My belief is the Cats will be prepared to limit Blair and Pickett on offense.
