After yesterday, you have to be convinced anything will happen. Nonetheless, VILLANOVA is in Pittsburgh to take on the Delaware Fighting Blue Hens at 2:45 pm. Nova is -15.5/134.
The Blue Hens have some Philly connections: their Coach is the son of a Villanova Star, Tom Inglesby, Nova transfer Dylan Painter is their center and the son of Jameer Nelson (St. Joe?s) is one of their stars. Not sure analyzing them makes a difference in this tournament. However, they have a slow, grinding but efficient offense with six players averaging about 10 points. They like to score from the paint. Rebounding is not their strength nor is defending the 3. On paper, Nova should win by 20?.on paper KENTUCKY should have beaten St. Peter?s by 20.
The best thing for the Cats is that they are keenly aware of all these upsets and none of them want this to be their last game. Their mindsets will be sharp and focused.
What Will Happen: Both clubs will have a solid fan base for this game?no advantage there. Nova is simply more physical and should have their way inside. That means fouls will pile up for the best free throw shooting club in America. Will Delaware hit a barrage of 3?s? Who knows? But, it?s not their strong suit. Nova WILL roll and cover.
