How did the boyz do in my absence? wish I would have had service to post weekend golf plays. Rode the Tiger charge at Memorial all the way to the bank. Had zero cell service in the black hole that is lake martin in alabama. little wake boarding weekend

Last week I reported a rare 7-0 by Canuck and, sure enough, this week PACKER COMES THROUGH WITH A PERFECT 7-0! Fantastic achievement my friend! Truly, not an EZ accomplishment! So, PACKER is awarded the Gold Medal for last week and is in a class by himself!
At 80% for the week, co-Silver Medal honors go to DA MAN and ROCKY! Great work, fellas. The Bronze Medal is awarded to BIG KAHUNA with his fine 5-2 performance. Nice job, Big K!
We even had MORE notable performances: DOUBLE came through with a 3-1 week, SUPERSEED tossed in a 2-0 for us and $PORT$ GURU, CANUCK and LEGEND were on the right side of the ledger at 4-3! Way to go, Boys!
At 500, were Jaguar (1-1), T Lankford (2-2) and The Culprit (1-1).
In the 'just missed' category were: Old Man River (3-4), Tanqueray Teddy (2-4), Amethyst (1-2), Juicy (1-3) and Fudd (0-1).
Overall, AWESOME WORK!

Going with the early game and the METROPOLITANS to keep the winning going against the presently punchless Cardinals. St Louis has a losing record on the Road vs RH-starters TY at (8-12), and the METS have a beautiful Home winning record vs RH-starters TY at (15-4). And, the main reason I like the METS today is the Cardinals have not scored a run in this series! METS' starters are (7-0) w/ 1.38 ERA and 3 shutouts in their L9 games. DILLON GEE is (2-0) w/ 2.66 ERA in his L3 outings, and Lohse has never won at CitiField .. he is (0-4) w/ 9.39 ERA in 5 Road starts vs the Mets, who go for and get the SWEEEEEEEEEEP this morning! In fact, I just played ACTION in this one. : )

Mauer supposed to be out with a thumb injury after being on a tear recently. Home-Road splits for this matchup would suggest a line a lot closer to Even. KC been shitty at home. Minny been good on the road. I think Smith is a much better pitcher and without Mauer the twins lineup loses too much to be that competitive. Also Devries difference in starts vs. a decent club (chisox) and a horrible club (oakland) is indicative of him not faring so well against a surprisingly productive KC offense

Yessiree! Grew up with #24 .. Mays Mcovey Marichal .. the 3M's .. looking right now at a print I have of Marichal doing the airborne splits in his wind up before delivering a pitch .. was so exciting to have the Giants coming to SF from NY and being able to root for a great team .. watching them at Seal Stadium while they were building Candlestick Park .. at the Sicik, the kids would all crowd-up behind the right field fence to hopefully await that McCovery home run .. those were the days, my friend. : )

GEE just got the DP ball hit right back to him to get out of trouble in a tie game in the seventh but threw the ball into center field, and now another botched play to load the bases with no outs .. Mets now down 2-1 and headed for disaster .. Lady Luck just doesn't love me anymore .. but, on a positive note, because we always have the glass at least half full in this thread .. if the Mets do hang a loss on me, it just might be a good week for me, because I have been winning two or three POD's to start the week, and then finding ways to mess up the rest of the week .. haven't given up quite yet .. Mets down 3-1 ... but, they have three more chances to come from behind .. GO METS !!!!
