In the immortal words of a knowledgeable Jet fan, when Geno drops back to pass you know something BIG will happen, you just don't for which team!

Good Morning, Boyz ... like your pick, Sammy ... missed my POD on 1H Pirates-1/2 who led 2-0 in the fifth, but they allowed a ground ball single with two outs that scored two runs and tied-it-up 2-2 .. hate laying that half run, and it cost me my second POD loss .. also missed my 6-team teaser by one point that would have paid me 10 units .. Pats + 6 was the only lossah .. killed him in bases, though, hitting my runlines on Pirates and Dodgers and hitting + 5.1 units on a ml parlay between those two, but I really struckout in pucks .. early in the year but still disappointing .. so, - 3.9 units Sunday on posted plays and finished the week - 6.3 u .. have two
3 unit plays for Monday and was having trouble deciding which to use for my POD .. one of them is the OV in the early game which 2CS just posted and the other is the Red Sox .. Anibal Sanchez led the A.L. in ERA and was (2-1) w/ 2.05 ERA in five September starts, but he did struggle at Home vs the A'S on August 26th yielding four runs in 5 IP, and Jarrod Parker fell flat in September allowing 7 runs and failing to get thru five innings in two of his last three starts .. played St Louis also, but it is probably the play I am not as confident on, but Charlie Morton has lost six straight decisions to StL, and TY he is (0-2) w/ 7.90 ERA vs StL, allowing them a
.397 batting average in three starts TY .. in the Red Sox game, Clay Buchholz is (3-1) W/ 1.88 ERA in his L4 starts, and Alex Cobb, although he has looked really good down the stretch, was (0-1) w/ 5.16 ERA in four starts vs the Bosox .. you know what, rather than choosing between those two picks in bases, lets go with the fb teaser as my POD .. rook at qb for Jets, and the Falcons really need a win Mondeay night and are usually money at Home .. just hope they get nuff pts to cover my teaser .. man, I sure played too much on Monday .. hope it goes well .. would hate to start the week in a hole ... GOOD LUCK TODAY, BOYZ !!!!

Team POD edged Da Man last week: 34-30! O Happy Day!

It is with great pleasure to award this week's medals. And especially to award the GOLD MEDAL to the pioneer of Team POD, OLD MAN RIVER, with his excellent 5-2 week! Receiving SILVER MEDALS are COACH BURNS and the streaking JAGUAR who were 3-1 and 4-2, respectively. BRONZE MEDALS go to 2CAN SAM (4-3), BIG KAHUNA (4-3) and ELMER FUDD (3-2). Congrats to all for your fine Capping!

Also, in the black were: COMFORTABLE1 (2-1), BOOMER1 (1-0) and BERTY 5446 (1-0). Thanks for your contributions, gents!

At .500, at 2-2, was Wild Bill.

5 Dimes is 9.5...can buy it down to 9.

Yup, need to put my Big Boy pants on and help, TT. Just bad luck on POD's. 11-2 yesterday on BMan. Did great on sides, teasers with sides and parlays with sides. Totals?... Not so much!

Being a whack job Jet fan; one who logically knows they have no choice tonight but still thinks they can win, puts me in a dilemma as a Capper. Thus, I am passing on the side officially (but think 10.5 is a bit rich) and am just picking the total which is 45.

Geno Smith will be the Falcons best part of its offense. Neither team can run and both defenses can stop the run. Thus, this should be an aerial circus. Of course, not sure who Geno will throw to with Holmes and Hill both out. So, the Jets may be forced to look for Winslow at tight end and Powell all night. Hopefully, they throw a few bombs for the hell of it. Defensively, stopping Jones, White and Gonzalez sounds a bit tough for Gang Green...but...one never knows. So, with all that....taking Over 45.

Yesterday, 3-4. Denver Over, AZ and Cincy won. Fins, GB Over, Denver and Tenn lost.

Record

NFL 20-31-1
College 100-85-1
