POD BOYZ PLAY OF DAY SATURDAY DECEMBER 22

The Cats and the Dogs go at it in MSG. Tip is 12:30 eastern. Nova is -5.5/145.5 Over UCONN.
NOVA is coming off of 2 straight losses and sport their worst record (8-4) in the non-conference period in a long time. UCONN is 9-3 and have a renewed spirit under Coach Hurley. Last out they destroyed Drexel shooting over 65% in the second half. The Wildcats have been taking Finals this week so I believe Friday may have been their only practice.
The Huskies are lead by guard Jalen Adams who will be the best player on the court. Alterique Gilbert is his sidekick who can also take it to the rim. Christian Vital is a returnee who has improved greatly. Tarin Smith came alive last game going 7-7. These guys like to run run run.
For the Wildcats, they have been playing slow. Probably because they have had issues scoring. Eventually this will change as all the starters (except Da Da Cosby-Roundtree) are Sharpshooters.
Of course, defensively, UCONN is stellar at defending the 3. So, what will happen?
My guess is the first half will be low scoring. The UCONN shooters will come down to earth and Nova May be a bit out of sync not playing for a week. Most prognosticators are on UCONN. This looks like a good situation for Nova to wake up and play well.
