Nova Report
The Cats are doing battle with yet another Big 5 opponent. This time they are home to take on the boys from Hawk Hill, St.Joseph?s. Tip is 2:00 eastern. The line is -11/146.5. The Hawks are 5-4 with solid wins over Wake, ODU and Princeton. They gave Temple all they could handle before losing by 7.
Their MO is to hoist 3?s early and often. They are 48th nationally shooting 39%. They are led by Super Soph Charlie Brown (23.4 ppg/52.2% from 3). Lamarr Kimble knocks in 17.5 ppg and shoots 49% from the field. Jared Bynum and Taylor Funk (6?9?) round out the bulk of their scoring.
For Nova, they still have a lot of work to do. They continue to improve defensively but looked out of sync offensively in their last two. Jermaine Samuels came off the bench to rescue them vs. Temple. Paschall needs to be less selfish; especially when he is having an off night.
When you attend Villanova, you learn quickly that St. Joe?s is the Big 5 team you hate the most. And, believe me, the Hawks will tell you the feeling is mutual. Expect this one to be an offensive showing. St. Joe?s will be sky high for this one. Nova did not shoot well last out so they will bounce back here.
The play is OVER 146.5.
