The Cats are back home to take on the 16-5 Creighton Bluejays who they beat by 5 up in Omaha a month ago. The line is Nova-6.5/142.5.
Creighton had the game in control with 3 minutes to go but went cold and Nova won it on the foul line. The BlueJays big guns: Tyshon Alexander, Marcus Zegarowski and Mitch Ballock all had sub par games. You can bet they feel they can take down the Wildcats today. Of course, winning at Nova will just about stamp their ticket to the Big Dance.
VILLANOVA finally had a game where they shot over 40% from the field in a 20 point win over St. John?s last out. OK, it was St. John?s but it WAS on the road. It is highly likely that that game was a confidence builder for the young Cats. Every starter is capable of shooting well over 40% and scoring over 20 points. However, Creighton is pretty good defensively so Nova will have to work for good shots.
The BlueJays are about a .500 Road team but, undeniably, are playing their best ball of the season. However, today at noon eastern, they hit a road bump. Cats -6 (buy hook) is the play.
