Good Morning, BoyZ .. Saturday's NHL POD OV 76' Grand Salami was not even close, another LOSSAH.

The VILLANOVA Wildcats take on the Mean Green of North Texas at 8:45 eastern. Nova is -5/126.5. The opening line was -6.5 so early money is all over the Mean Green. Beating Purdue in their home state certainly helped.
The Mean Green are 18-9 and won their Conference USA tournament by besting Western Kentucky. They are led by 6?4? guard Javion Hamlet (15 ppg) and Senior Guard James Reese (11 ppg). Upfront, Zach Simmons is their defender. Their claim to fame is defense. Ranked 38th, they have held opponents under 65 ppg in 18 of their 27 contests. Their pace of play is 350th of 357 teams.
Nova has had trouble with large, physical guards who play at a deliberate pace. Additionally, the Cats offense was inconsistent vs. Winthrop so it makes sense that people are betting on North Texas.
This will be a war of wills, patience and execution. Nova will need to hit from 3 to win this. That will open up the inside for Robinson-Earl. Jermaine Samuels needs to be way more aggressive than he was last out. Brandon Slater will need to step up his defensive game vs. Hamlet. These things can all happen. Will they?
I just can?t see Nova stopping Hamlet so they will need to shutdown everyone else. They haven?t had many turnovers so I suspect that will continue. Robinson-Earl will need another outstanding game and no reason to think he won?t. This should be an entertaining back and forth contest. Nova can and should squeak by in this one.
