A pair of 4-1 ranked teams go at it at 5:00 eastern in the Myrtle Beach Invitational title tilt. The 17th ranked Wildcats are -2/139 Over the 24th ranked Baylor Bears.
The Bears are another defensive minded club who have not let opponents score over 67 in a game. They are buoyed by guard Jared Butler, a consummate Point Guard, shooting 53% from 3 and MaCio Teague, their 2 Guard, scoring over 15 ppg.
Nova will need to reduce their turnovers in this one if they are to win their 7th straight November Tournament as Baylor is excellent in handling the ball. Baylor has shot 45% from two and easily won 4 of 5 games. Their loss to Washington was to a taller more athletic team which could describe Villanova except for the Cats? inexperience. So...Nova will need to shoot 50%, dominate the Boards and value each possession. I watched Baylor play two games...they are tough!
The Cats want this one badly. Look for them to rise to the occasion and pull it out. Villanova-2 is my pick.
