Nova Report

Rutgers-4 Total: 138

Mercifully, the Cats have just two regular season games remaining. Going to the RAC with an injured team will not be fun. Nova has three starters with sprains: Wayns (knee), Bell and Pinkston (ankles). All are expected to play. I would expect only Pinkston to be close to 100%.

For Rutgers, they come in with an OT win at Seton Hall. They have a young club and are licking their chops with Nova and St John's, both at the RAC, to finish the season.

The Scarlett Knights will attempt to get Dane Miller and Gilvydas Biruta into the mix early. Unexpectedly, these guys have really stepped up lately.

Rutgers played great last out and shot the three exceptionally well. With a young club, it is unlikely that this type of performance will be
repeated. So, look for a defensive struggle...and a very close game...until the end.

Wouldn't it make sense to rest Wayns and Bell until the Big East Tourney? Right now, they would play St John's, then, Cincy. Oh well, that's why Jay gets the big bucks.

Next year will be good for the Cats, LL !!! Never good to force playing on a "sprain" .. take it from one who knows from experience!

Well, gone (2-0) with the big teasers, so why not try for three in a row. Went thru all the games and kept narrowing down .. gets a little tougher in tourneys with some on neutral courts which kinda screws-up the numbers .. had to pick two outta Ore St, San Francisco, Drake, & San Diego .. hope I chose right.

Cats have whole team back as both 'Seniors' have another year of eligibility coming. Question is : who goes ? Two studs coming in. PG scorer and PF rebounder.

If they stay healthy, can see sweet 16 next year. Been spoiled by their recent success. Alumni just assume they will be Dancing every year.

You got screwed, BIG K .. E. TENN ST. shoulda won that by 10 pts .. leading by 7 w/ 4:20 to go, all they needed to do was to continue to push the ball, drive inside and keep getting their layups like they had been doing, but all of a sudden, they decided to use clock on every possession, and then try to score with a few seconds left which never seems to work .. sorta like prevent defense in football. Anyway, allowed N Fla to tighten-up the game and keep it within one or two possessions. Of course, missing the front end of two one and one's in the last two possession didn't help either. That is why I am not a big hoop's fan .. always seems to come down to what happens in the last couple of minutes of a game. You shoulda cashed that one!
