It?s Big East Tournament time for the Wildcats. They face St.John?s at 7:00 pm in Madison Square Garden. The line is Nova-6.5/148.
Records don?t matter in this Tournament. Of some relevance is that Villanova beat St John?s twice so far, 73-62 at Nova (St Johns was missing Alexander) and 75-69 at St Johns (Nova squandered a 20 point lead).
The bottom line is how Posh Alexander and Julian Champagnie play; who protects the ball the best and how Gillespie and Moore play.
What Will Happen: Mike Anderson may release his 40 minutes of hell but since the Red Storm played yesterday, it?s unlikely he?ll be able to sustain that intense pressure. Alexander will drive the hoop?a lot. Champagnie will be lurking outside for clear shots. For Nova, Gillespie and Moore will take over. Great guards and good foul shooting wins these type of games. Nova moves on.
