It?s Big East Tournament time and the Cats are in MSG to take on Georgetown at high noon eastern. Nova is -6.5/139. The Hoyas are coming off a convincing win yesterday over Marquette. Nova lost last out on a last second tip in to Providence. In that game they lost Justin Moore to a high ankle sprain. That added with the loss of Colin Gillespie for the season makes things pretty tough on the Cats.
Gillespie and Moore were their two best players at posting up opponents big men to make them foul. Georgetown has two 7 footers. Nova needs to shoot lights out to win this one. Coach Wright will be trying to figure out his best combinations for the NCAA?s. The players, of course, just want to win.
I just can?t see Nova winning let alone covering in this one. Nor can I see a fast pace on Nova?s part. But just in case a miracle happens, let?s play a teaser: Georgetown +11.5/Under 144.
