OY Vay! Two games I would pass on again if it were Saturday...BUT, here we go!
UCF has not covered in four straight and UAB has covered four in a row. The Blazers showed a little life in losses to Tulsa and Miss St and I expect it to carry forward on TV tonight. Take UAB+16.
Now we have 1-5 Arizona with a new Coach and they are favored by 4 over 3-3 UCLA. OK, the Wildcats have Foles and their schedule has been brutal. Just going with the total in this one. My guess is AZ will be reborn. They CAN pass and UCLA cannot pass defend. UCLA can run and AZ cannot defend the run.
SO...take OVER 62.

Ruff night on Humpday for POD BoyZ on a cold, rainy night in St Louis. Wanted to call the Cards as my POD, as I had 3 UNITS on them in GM 1,
but BIG KAHUNA was already on the Rangers.
Anyone who might be reading that doesn't have a clue what I am talking about .. we, in this thread, try each day to beat DA MAN as a "team",
so we try at all costs to avoid playing "against" each other, which, of course, just cancels out the two plays at (1-1) and lets DA MAN keep the juice! So, early bird gets the worm, and BIG K was there early backing Texas. You will also notice that we play alot of teases, because if alot of us are playing the same game, we can be on different "sides" and teasing to the OVER and the UNDER and still all be winners. Just thought I would take the time to explain that point. Anyway, I actually lost 1.3 UNITS on the night, because I had -RL and OV, and my 1H StL tied when the Rangers scored two in the top of the fifth. Needed one more run by the Cards to have a nice winning day. They certainly had their chances, but could not punch anymore runs across the plate. If the ball gets by Cruz and into the rightfield corner, things would have been different ... "if". Weather was detrimental to the OVER, I think. A couple of drives might have gone out on another night .. Friese to center, Furcal to rightcenter. I do have a couple of units on the Cardinals to win the series at + 134. Should be an exciting series and think these two teams are pretty evenly matched. Bottom line, I am (0-3) on POD's and feeling pretty stupid. : )

Thanx, BIG K but close game .. coulda gone either way .. was worried 'bout the OVER because of the weather and Layne calling balls and strikes was 17 UNDERS and 13 OVERS, but thought he was pretty fair, tonight. There was a couple of high ones I thought weren't strikes that he called strikes, and he wasn't giving the low strikes, I thought, but overall can't blame it on him, mostly the weather and breaks. Tomorrow's HP UMP, though, if it is Greg Gibson .. he IS AN UNDER UMP with 21 UNDERS and 9 OVERS TY and 25 UNDERS and 7 OVERS LY. Plus, the OV/U has opened at 8 1/2. Myself, I just don't play the UNDERS anymore .. once in awhile if there is just one game, and I need another play for a parlay. Good matchup Thursday with Colby Lewis aganist Jaimie Garcia .. Texas actually has a LOSING RECORD on the ROAD vs LH-starters at (8-14) and

has a great record vs RH-starters TY at (36-23) at Home and (70-52) overall .. big advantage StL. Plus, this ump favors the HOMETEAM TY (18-14) and HOMETEAM LY (23-13). Pitchers are close with Lewis (9-5) Road w/ 3.43 ERA 1.15 WHIiP and .237 BAA .. Garcia at (9-4) Home w/ 2.55 ERA
1.11 WHIP and .230 BAA .. another slight advantage to Garcia. Their records are similar with Lewis (14-10) 4.40 ERA and Garcia (13-7) 3.56 ERA .. again, slight advantage Garcia. Need to do some more reading and looking at numbers, but at first glance, I really like St Louis again, on Thursday. Lewis shows one inning pitched against St Louis with (0-1) and a 36.00 ERA .. not sure when it was .. back in the morning with some plays. GOOD LUCK, bud.

Legend is a really good fb guy, but geeeez, I can't see UAB staying with C FLA .. I played Central Florida 1H - 9. C FLA -16, and teased them to UCLA .. 7-pt > C FLA - 9 / UCLA + 11 1/2.

Look for another cold night in Missouri with temp in 40's at game time and dropping as the game proceeds. Colby Lewis seems to pitch better on the road and has the advantage of pitching well in the postseason, so experience factor to Lewis over second year pitcher Jamie Garcia. Garcia does pitch better at home (9-4) w/ 2.55 ERA in 15 Home starts TY. If he is on his game early in this one, the Cardinals will have a good chance of going up (2-0), but he will have to hit his spots and be careful against the powerful righties of the Rangers. Beltre sure a good hitter and Cruz, so strong. Also, don't hang a curveball to Hamilton. Going to keep my fingers crossed that Garcia pitches well and go with the Cardinals tonight for my POD.
Also, like C FLA ... think they will move the ball easily on the ground AND through the air. Noticed in the baseball game, the O/U has already moved from 8 1/2 down to 8. And, in the fb game, I had played 1H C FLA - 9 last night, & it has moved to - 9 1/2 this morning.

Your welcome, Guru .. enjoy doing it, although not sure why I get involved in these weeknight fb games; canNOT even watch the CFla/UAB on TV. Should also know better than to question the Legend's pick .. hell, the Blazers are ahead of the Knights at half, which is gonna cost me a few ducats. : (

Sorry, boys .. Lady Luck wore the chastity belt on our date, tonight .. so, even when I don't get screwed, I GET SCREWED !!! Was looking really good on my POD, as the Cardinals led 1-0 into the ninth with their closer coming in, but Texas stole all my thunder with two in the top of the ninth, and I went down 2-1.
In the football game, the Knights should have stayed at the Round Table, because they didn't bring much weaponry to the gridiron and certainly left their armor behind.
I have still not broke MY maiden this week and am (0-4) in POD's and was completely shut out, tonight. Not feeling too chipper, right now. : (
