POD BoyZ Play of Day Thursday September 12

Fell off the wagon on Monday as the Skins skidded and Houston Under was toast.

Tonight my Jets are a 12 point dog in Foxboro to Tom Brady. The total is 43.5. A lot has been made of injured players on both sides being out. These teams HATE each other. It makes no difference. Both clubs were fortunate to win on Sunday. The Jets have more to prove in this one.
Geno Smith fared well vs. TB but exhibited tendencies that Belichick will exploit (e.g. Only rolling out to the right). The Jets will need a decent running game to stay in this one and just may find one vs. the Pats. Defensively, the Jets will do a decent job vs. Brady but he IS BRADY so anything can happen.
Defensively, Belichick will throw defensive disguises which are new to the Pats aimed at confusing Smith. Offensively, they also will attempt to get a running game going.
It would be a miracle for the Jets to win in Foxboro but not to keep this one tight. The plays are Jets+12 and Under 43.5.
College
TCU-3 at Texas Tech. Total: 63.5
Can Baker Mayfield execute at QB vs. an elite college team is tonight's question. If yes, take Texas Tech...which I am playing. TCU's offense will challenge the Red Raiders who had to stop SF Austin last week. The Horned Frogs already have a loss at the hands of LSU and still have a major bowl in mind so tonight's game is a must.
On the other side, this is a program defining game for Kingsbury's Texas Tech club. But does he have the players to match up? Answer is No. But his schemes will be better and they ARE in Lubbock. Red Raiders+3 is the play.
La Tech vs. Tulane Total: 58
I like this one Over 58. Tulane has a decent club and La Tech is in building mode. The Green Wave defense is a bit porous but they have the potential to score 50 tonight.
Arkansas State-8 over Troy Total: 67
The boys from Jonesboro just could be the class of the Sun Belt while the Trojans of Troy can put up points but need some help defensively.
I see this one as a pretty tight Conference game with Troy's defense 'manning-up' here. The Red Wolves will move the ball but they can also be turnover prone. My play here is Under 67.

Good Morning, BoyZ ... nice day yesterday, as I hit my POD on CINN-RL .. also, hit PHIL-RL, MIAMI, A'S-RL, and a 4-team ml parlay CINN/PHIL/A'S/DET, so
+ 4.6 units Humpday and now am - 10.0 u for the week .. made my plays for today in the wee hours before I hit the sack, not knowing which to call as my POD .. NATS slim chances are still alive and rookie Tanner Roark starts as they try to complete the sweep and notch their sixth straight victory .. A'S scored
18 runs/22 hits yesterday and have a chance to expand their 3-game A.L. West lead and send A.J. Griffin to the hill who has won three in a row overall .. he'll have to be careful not to serve-up any HR's, but if A'S sticks stay hot vs Scott Diamond and the lowly Twins, they should cash again, today ... DODGERS beat-up on
Matt Cain on July 5th, as he allowed 8 runs in just 2 1/2 IP .. Matt can be extremely tough when he is "on" and has pitched well vs L.A. before that July game .. Giants look to play "spoiler", and Dodgers "magic number" down to "six" and send ther big righthander ZACK GREINKE (14-3; 2.79) to the mound .. Greinke is
(11-1) w/ 2.13 ERA in his L15 starts overall and has eight straight starts allowing 2 runs or less .. obviously, Nats should give us the best shot at cashing a POD with their -150 line, but I am going to use some reverse-mojo and go with the +130 on the LAD-RL as the POD, plus they are a HOME team, and I won't have to sweat-it-out until late tonight : ) .. I'm leaning TxTech too...But, TCU scares me even in LUBBOCK which is my main reason for LOVING TxTech. I do think that if this was Game 1, TCU would be giving 7-10 even on road...

Last time they played it was the Sanchez butt fumble game and the Jets were thoroughly embarrassed. So, just like the Tide wants to spank Johnny Football, Rex wants to get back at Belichick. I like the points but am secretly praying that Gang Green pulls off the impossible.
