POD BOYZ PLAY OF DAY WEDNESDAY DECEMBER 5

Cats are back home at the Finn to resume their Big 5 series; this time vs. 7-1 Temple. The line is Nova-10/140. Tip off is 8:30 eastern. Things didn?t go so well in their last Big 5 game as the Cats had to claw back from a 12 point deficit to beat 0-7 La Salle by 7. The Explorers who have struggled to shoot 40% from the field were shooting 60% with about a minute to go. I guess Wild Bill is right. Nova has a huge target on their backs and their opponents tend to play their best game of the season verses them.
Tonight they face a team that is much better in the Temple Owls. I hesitate to say that they struggle from behind the arc because La Salle had also and they knocked in 14 3?s. Nonetheless, Temple is run by two experienced guards in Shizz Alston and Quentin Rose. They both average over 17 ppg each. Temple is a much better defensive team than offensive team. But in a Big 5 game...who knows?
Nova does not have a true point guard and they have continued to turn the ball over at an alarming rate. Temple specializes in creating turnovers so it will be a test of wills tonight.
I expect this to be a defensive brawl with the Wildcats pulling it out at home. A 5 point teaser here is my recommendation: Temple+15/Under 145.
