It’s now or never for the Villanova Wildcats. Minimally, they need to make it to the Big East Finals to have a chance at the NCAA. Realistically, they need to win the Title to get in. They start today at MSG vs the doormat of the Big East, the DePaul Blue Demons. Nova is -22.5/136.5. Tip is 9:00 pm eastern on FS1.
DePaul is 0-20 in Big East play and dominates the worst statistics in all categories in the Conference. Chico Carter 11.3 ppg and Elijah Fisher 10.6 ppg are their go to players. This team pretty much looks like they are going through the motions. Maybe they’ll try to ‘win one for the Gipper’ but it’s unlikely. Villanova needs to break their will early and get off to a big lead. With Marquette on deck, Coach Neptune will likely rest his starters if they get a 20+ lead in the second half.
Nova should breeze by these guys.
