Thanks, Guru .. I try .. love baseball and put alot of time in on it .. try to post info on the games if I have extra time, so that those that are younger and tied-up working and traveling may get a little help from me, if they are looking for a play. After dinner, if I can stay awake, I begin working on the next day's games, so I can get a jump start on 'em, but as I am sure you know, bases can also be unforgiving, and I have had some days where every bounce went the other way. Okay, I am rambling .. sorry.

I'll ask the stupid question .. what's Moneyball, LL ??? If it comes on during AMERICAN IDOL or THE VOICE, I probably missed it. I am an ardent fan of the singing shows, especially AI .. did ya get to see your boy Bieber on AI, LL ???

Yeah, I think I will, Guru .. like his acting, and I've seen most or all of the old baseball movies .. well, most of ALL movies, period. If I like a movie, I will watch it more than once .. I've seen PULP FICTION so many times, and each time I get something else out of the movie .. that was the best ever for me .. liked Shawshank Redemption .. well, i'd better stop or I'll be naming movies all day .. all my old time friends on here know I can get off on a tangent, and I am sure I drive them NUTZ at times .. been doing what I am doing now since the 90's when my best friend talked me into getting a computer. I told him, what the hell am I going to do with a computer .. I don't need a computer .. well, I sure was wrong about that .. I've been on it around the clock since. : )

No POD February Gem? We've got 10 playas already .. could use a natural eleven!

And, that was the truth .. I remember that conversation like it was yesterday. My friend talked me into getting a little Compac computer and set it up for me, showing me how to play games on it .. well, I wasn't playing those games for very long, because it opened-up a whole new
world that I was missing. Oldtimers tend to be set in their ways, but the computer was the best suggestion he ever made to me .. unfortunately, he died twelve years ago, but when you have a computer, you ALWAYS have company. : )

Thanks OMR :0008 watching, wagering, and analyzing sports is a passion of mine that can never be quenched :) i will take you up on that offer soon :0008 .....your friend was very wise :toast:

I did, LL .. good movie.

Don't bet the Pirates very often, and now I remember why, because they are so offensively anemic .. lost 1-0, both teams with 4 hits .. leadoff triple, Pittsburgh can't score .. leadoff double, and they can't score .. bases loaded and no outs, they can't score. : ( Looks like I stuck with 1H TOR one day too often (unless I get the push), but Drabek keeps walking batters and canNOT throw strikes .. for a team that teaches their pitchers to pitch to contact, I think Drabek missed a few meetings .. he is over 100 pitches and is pitching in the top of the fifth with no outs. : (
