LAKings -.5 -165
Most regulars here know I don't like laying chalk at ALL, and that I shy away from playing the Kings from homey bias. But I'm gonna play this trend until it loses, and it's been money for me the last 2 years since I discovered it.
Play against Pitt when they go on a west coast swing of 2 games or more.
This year 0-1
2001 0-4
2000 0-2
1999 0-2-1
if you wanna go further back......
1998 1-3
0-9-1 the last 3+yrs, 1-12-1 the last 4+. Pretty damn bad.
Why?? Don't know. They just don't like to travel west, I guess.
The Kings lose Miller for up to 6 weeks, a pretty big loss. They've called up Corvo, and physical scoring defenseman to take his spot, as Visnovsky doesn't look like he'll be back this weekend. Corvo has had some off-ice problems in Boston for alleged sexual assault, but he was leading the league in scoring as a D-man, scoring 26 in 26 games, I think. This guy is a stud. The Kings have been plagued with injuries every season, so the line shuffling should not be a big adjustment. The Deader-Ziggy-Allison line is just AWESOME to watch, they've only played 6 games together due to injuries but have score 26 points in those 6 games. I watched the Dallas game, and when they decide to play, they are as good as anyone in the west. Kings have played some real duds lately at home, losinf 3/4. Murray will make sure no one starts out slow this game. Plus how can you not when Super Mario is coming to town. Dunno if Hedberg is in goal, as they are messing with his goalie mechanics, if Aubin is in, even better, LA scored 3 in 20min on him the last time they met.
Enough blabbering......POUND the Kings!!! J/K, but a modest size play for me on them tonite.
GOOD LUCK!!!!
