Goaltender Justin Pogge will make his second NHL start Tuesday night when the Toronto Maple Leafs play the Wild in St. Paul, and will continue to make periodic starts for the remainder of the season.

Maple Leafs coach Ron Wilson said Pogge will be returned to the Leafs' American Hockey League Marlies team after Tuesday's game and wouldn't say which other games the 22-year-old would start.

However, Wilson said Pogge will be part of a rotation that will see him go back and forth between the Leafs and the Marlies. Pogge made his NHL debut Dec. 22 in Atlanta, giving up just two goals in a 6-2 Toronto win. However, he was immediately returned to the Marlies. Pogge was the Leafs' third-round pick, 90th overall, in the 2004 Entry Draft. He has been with the Marlies since 2006 and in 32 games this season is 15-13-4 with a 2.58 goals-against average and a .901 save percentage.

Toronto also recalled forward Nikolai Kulemin from the Marlies on Monday. Kulemin has played in 41 games for the Leafs this season, scoring seven goals and adding seven assists with eight penalty minutes. He has also played in five scoreless games with the Marlies.

In other Leafs news Monday, defenceman Mike Van Ryn will return Tuesday, but forward Jeremy Williams and defenceman Jeff Finger are still considered day-to-day.
