10 Examples We No Longer Live In Land of the Free And Home of the Brave

<!-- | http://madjacksports.com/forum/#comments_controls
-->The American Dream
April 21, 2011

Do you know people that still believe that America is a free country? Do you have friends or family that are proud to live in ?the land of the free and the home of the brave?? If you do, just show them this article. The things that you are about to read are enough to make the blood of any red-blooded American boil. We don?t live in a free country anymore. Instead, we live in a ?Big Brother? police state control grid that is becoming more restrictive every single day.
Most of our politicians seem to be control freaks that are obsessed with running every single little detail of our lives. These days there has to be a ?rule? or a ?regulation? for everything. The radical social engineers in the Soviet Union, Nazi Germany and communist China never even dared to try some of the things that are going on in America today. We are all being treated little better than cattle and we are all being taught that it is best to just sit in our homes and absorb all of the television ?programming? that is being provided for us. Meanwhile, our public schools have become little more than prison grids. Our children are being taught to enjoy living as docile slaves in a world where imagination, liberty, freedom and adventure are all greatly discouraged.

Unfortunately, none of this is an exaggeration.

Our politicians love to give speeches about ?liberty? and ?freedom?, but they always seem to have excuses to justify the endless parade of liberty-killing laws that they are imposing on all the rest of us.

Almost all of the freedoms listed in the Bill of Rights have been severely eroded. In fact, a number of them are almost totally gone at this point.

The things that you are about to read should make you mad. In fact, if none of these things make you mad there is a problem. Sadly, millions of Americans have actually embraced tyranny, and if you are not outraged by any of the items listed below than you are likely one of them.

The following are 10 examples that show that we no longer live in the land of the free and the home of the brave?.

#1 According to the ACLU, state police in Michigan are using ?extraction devices? to download data from the cellphones of motorists that they pull over. This is taking place even if those pulled over are not accused of doing anything wrong.

The following is how an article on CNET News describes the capabilities of these ?extraction devices??.
The devices, sold by a company called Cellebrite, can download text messages, photos, video, and even GPS data from most brands of cell phones. The handheld machines have various interfaces to work with different models and can even bypass security passwords and access some information.
#2 In the state of New York, the Department of Health has designated wiffle ball, dodge ball, kick ball, freeze tag, red rover, frisbee tossing and tug of war as ?risky recreational activities?. Any organization or program that allows kids to enjoy these games during the summer will now be subject to strict government regulation according to the New York Daily News?.
Under the new rules, any program that offers two or more organized recreational activities ? with at least one of them on the risky list ? is deemed a summer camp and subject to state regulation.
#3 At one public school in the Chicago area, children have been banned from bringing their lunches from home. Yes, you read that correctly. Students at that particular school are absolutely prohibited from bringing lunches from home. Instead, it is mandatory that they eat the food that the school cafeteria serves.

#4 Would you like to have your face scanned and your ID recorded every time you attend a public event? Don?t laugh. The San Francisco Entertainment Commission is actually proposing a new rule which ?would require all venues with an occupancy of over 100 people to record the faces of all patrons and employees and scan their ID?s for storage in a database which they must hand over to law enforcement on request.?

#5 In Delaware, police and state government officials recently tore a basketball hoop right out of a family?s front yard and carted it away because it was ?too close? to the street. They even extracted the pole for the basketball hoop out of the ground and took that away too.

#6 In Missouri of all places, two young girls named Abigail and Caitlin Mills were recently taught a lesson on how to be good citizens in the emerging totalitarian control grid going up all over the United States. After a complaint from a neighbor, the city of Hazelwood cracked down on the two girls and told them that they must stop selling girl scout cookies in their own front yard.

#7 As I have written about previously, federal bureaucrats have outlawed the incandescent light bulbs that we all grew up with and will be forcing us to switch over to new CFL (compact fluorescent lamp) light bulbs that are more expensive and that are actually worse for the environment. One new study conducted by scientists in Germany has shown that the new CFL light bulbs that we are being forced to use contain poisonous carcinogens that are likely cause cancer. In fact, the German scientists say that these CFL bulbs should be ?kept as far away as possible from the human environment?.

#8 Many states are aggressively seizing ?unclaimed? safe deposit boxes and are selling off the contents and using the money to pay state government bills. In the state of California, they are now going after safe deposit boxes if the owners have had ?no contact? with the bank for just 3 years. Other states are being nearly as aggressive. If you have a safe deposit box that you have not opened in a while you need to go check on it right away.

#9 One Mississippi state judge recently issued an order for state officials to gather and deliver to him the names of every single child that is being homeschooled in the state. The frightening thing is that the judge did this all on his own. Nobody requested this information and there is no case pending for which this information would be required.

#10 The TSA had promised that they were going to stop groping little children at airports, but apparently that is not the case. For example, one 6 year old little girl made headlines recently when a TSA worker touched all of her private areas before allowing her to get on an airplane. Her parents were forced to stand aside and watch this outrage take place.
So what do all of you think about this list?

Does anyone out there still believe that we live in the land of the free and the home of the brave?

Government Orders Expedited Printing of 350,000 Detainee Handbooks

Government Orders Expedited Printing of 350,000 Detainee Handbooks

Government Orders Expedited Printing of 350,000 Detainee Handbooks

The US Government Printing Office ? Chicago Procurement has posted a contract open for bidding for some 350,000 copies of the National Detainee Handbook.

Per Jacket Number 735-412/413, the GPO requests 221,367 copies of the handbook in Spanish and 129,567 in English. The GPO requests expedited delivery of the prints, requesting a delivery date of April 29, 2011, less than two weeks from today.

The original Jacket Number 735-412/413 is no longer available at the GPO web site, but a cached version can be accessed here.

US Immigration and Customs Enforcement currently shows a ?404 page not found error? for the page on ICE?s web site where the handbook was originally stored. You can view the National Detainee Handbook (Dated 2007) via Scribd.

According to a 2008 detention standard guide from ICE, the handbook is to be provided to all individuals detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement. It is not clear whether the guidelines in the handbook apply just for immigration related detentions.

According to ICE the purpose of the handbook is to provide detainees with an overview of the general rules, regulations, policies, and procedures that ICE is required while detaining someone:
This Detention Standard requires that, upon admission, every detainee be provided comprehensive written orientation materials that describe such matters as the facility?s rules and sanctions, disciplinary system, mail and visiting procedures, grievance system, services, programs, and medical care, in English, Spanish, and other languages and that detainees acknowledge receipt of those materials.

It applies to the following types of facilities housing DRO detainees:
  • Service Processing Centers (SPCs);
  • Contract Detention Facilities (CDFs); and
  • State or local government facilities used by DRO through Intergovernmental Service Agreements (IGSAs) to hold detainees for more than 72 hours.
No information on why the Printing Office has requested expedient printing and delivery of the books has been made available.

According to Kurt Nimmo of Infowars, this may be part of a broader immigration and/or detention initiative that falls under the auspices of the REX 84 emergency response directive:
In 2003, the government launched Operation Endgame to detain and deport all removable aliens and ?suspected terrorists? currently living in the United States by 2012.The federal government has devised contingency plans to round up and intern people it considers ?national security threats.? Rex 84, short for Readiness Exercise 1984, is a contingency plan developed by Lieutenant Colonel Oliver North, who worked for the National Security Council and the Reagan administration. North worked with FEMA on the plan.

Fox News Uses Royal Wedding To Promote the Police State

Fox News Uses Royal Wedding To Promote the Police State

Fox News Uses Royal Wedding To Promote the Police State

Leave it to Fox News to use the occasion of the royal wedding to advocate the police state.

This article informs us that for the royal wedding, the U.K. will be using security measures ? including random stops and searches, warrantless arrests, and a ban on uploading iPhone photos ? that would ?never fly? in the U.S.

You see, former CIA agent and current security firm owner Mike Baker explains, ?there?s a more mature acceptance in the U.K. of the tradeoff between civil liberties and security.? They?re not like those whiny Americans, who think they can do as they please with their own property: ?You?re going to tell them what they can and can?t do with their iPhone? That would drive people nuts.? Some Americans even have the nerve to complain ?about having to take their shoes off at the airport.? Such children!

But Fox News is nothing if not fair and balanced, so they brought in a second expert, former NYPD detective and current security firm owner Pat Brosnan ? who also says Americans need to grow up and accept the total state: ?There?s a number of different measures that should be implemented [in the U.S.] in the face of the reality that we now have. Our biggest threat is homegrown extremism. How do you get control of that? It?s tough, very tough, and people have forgotten.?

In all of this, there?s no mention of any past conflicts between Brits and Americans over issues of search and seizure, nor is there any suggestion that any constitutional provisions might stand in the way of imposing these things in the U.S.

Brosnan does say that he doesn?t think Americans would go for the U.K. measures ?in a million years.? But given Americans? willingness to surrender their rights at the airports and their steady diet of propaganda like this, I?m not at all sure he?s right.

Many Royal Wedding Security Measures Would 'Never Fly' in the U.S., Experts Say

By Diane Macedo

Americans impressed by security preparations for the upcoming royal wedding may be surprised to know it would be difficult to implement many of those precautions here in the U.S.

?There?s a more mature acceptance in the U.K. of the tradeoff between civil liberties and security,? former CIA agent Mike Baker told FoxNews.com. ?They went through homegrown terror issues with the IRA and they were bombed in WWII , and it developed an attitude that you don?t find here.?

Baker said Americans might be more security-sensitive ?right after an incident like 9/11,? but it?s not too long before people start to complain ?about having to take their shoes off at the airport.?

WASHINGTON ? A provision in the new 9/11 health bill may be adding insult to injury for people who fell sick after their service in the aftermath of the 2001 Al Qaeda attacks, The Huffington Post has learned.

The tens of thousands of cops, firefighters, construction workers and others who survived the worst terrorist assault in U.S. history and risked their lives in its wake will soon be informed that their names must be run through the FBI?s terrorism watch list, according to a letter obtained by HuffPost.

Any of the responders who are not compared to the database of suspected terrorists would be barred from getting treatment for the numerous, worsening ailments that the James Zadroga 9/11 Health And Compensation Law was passed to address.

It?s a requirement that was tacked onto the law during the bitter debates over it last year.

Squads of TSA agents conducted random searches and patrols at a train station in West Palm Beach, Florida yesterday in yet another example of the expansion of TSA Tyranny beyond the nation?s airports.

?Hoping to keep terrorists and others off-guard Transportation Security Administration conducted what it calls a random ?Visible Intermodal Prevention and Response Operation? on Thursday morning at the West Palm Beach Tri-Rail station.?, reports WPTV news. [2]

As we have documented, VIPR teams [3] are now occupying America in the name of ?security,? having expanded from airports, to train stations [4], highways [3] and street corners. [5]

The TSA was recently caught in yet another act of deception after claiming that passengers, including young children, who were subjected to an invasive pat down and bag search after getting off an Amtrak train in Savannah, Georgia [6] did not have to enter the station, when in fact according to a firefighter on the scene, TSA agents swarmed the platform as soon as passengers stepped off the train and ordered them to cooperate.

VIPR is quite obviously a 21st century Gestapo designed to indoctrinate Americans into accepting Soviet-style shake-downs, bag searches and groping of genitalia at checkpoints across the country ? not just in airports.
If people think they can avoid the TSA by staying away from airports, they?re going to be in for a rude awakening. TSA is clearly engaged in a total takeover of society and plans to have its agents searching, patting down, scanning and harassing Americans at all levels of society.

Corrupt Texas Cops, Judges, Attorneys Kidnap Child

Corrupt Texas Cops, Judges, Attorneys Kidnap Child

Corrupt Texas Cops, Judges, Attorneys Kidnap Child

You think your first amendment protections are safe? Thing again.

Texas grass-roots candidate for Attorney General Barry Cooper and his wife had their home raided and their son removed from their home on charges stemming from his pro-marijuana legalization activism and his recent attempts to expose corruption in law enforcement and the war on drugs. Mr. Cooper is a former narcotics officer and founder of the Never Get Busted web site.

The State specifically cited, as a reason for taking their child Zack, that Mr. Cooper and his wife are ?unsuitable and create an environment where the children believe the government is out to harm them.

After hearing Mr. Cooper?s story, we have no doubt that you?ll be as outraged about this as we are. And if you?re not, then you may want to re-read the US Constitution and consider whether or not what you?re teaching your children could one day be used to deem you an unsuitable parent.

We share Judge Napolitano?s views on this matter and support full prosecution of all parties involved. This is the United States of America. If they can do this to Mr. Cooper today, they can do it to any one of us tomorrow.
