I just recently in the last few years became interested in local politics and have a few questions??????
A close family friend of ours ran for traffic court judge in the preliminarys as a democrat and lost ...........
From my understanding he is out of the race for the election in November, unless he were to switch his ballot to republican?????? I know he contimplated this, but decided to just withdraw from the race. What I don't get is how can you switch up like that ???
Even though he chose to withdraw if he were to run on the other side he would have lost his ward leadership that he has had for many years, and I assume all of his democrat supporters would not be happy with him???? My question , may it be stupid , if it is..... sorry ..................Is this policy " Switching your ballot " , after a lose common practice????? or is it just for judgeship elections???? I mean in order to run you do have to get 1000 signatures from both the republicans and the democrats." I KNOW I GOT HIM 200 for each side." Politics seems to be a little slimey if you ask me!!!!!!!!
