Get mine from Jack or IE, can't leave in your rep right now.

I did notice the "or" - if you really just wanted BBC's email I won't be offended.

Make sure have some Lou Malnati's pizza...some of the best deep dish there is. Location probably about 10-15 minutes from the bookstore.

What bookstore are you signing at?

Grew up about 20-25 minutes west of there.

You just reminded me how much despise deep dish pizza.

The thought of deep dish pizza makes me want to vomit. When I go to Chicago --which has rarely happened since we started a family-- I typically go to Cub games every day, eat steak--my buddy was bartender at Ruths--, and swill beer. When I took my wife on one of my Chicago weekenders about 8 years ago, she made me do some touristy things, the worst of which was the doughy mess called deep-dish pizza. After waiting about an hour to be seated, we did not finish our first slice and left the remainder of the pie on the table. Gimme cracker thin crust that I can fold in half and devour anyday of the week.:toast:

Different strokes for different folks

I don't imagine you've ever enjoyed a real Italian beef sandwich with hot giardiniera either

Lastly, please don't tell me you put ketchup on your hot dog...

took Cie to Portillo's on one of his trips up here. It's not the best (Al's, only the original location) but it was close to his hotel and did the trick after our day of drinking.

Billy Goat - not good food but should go once for the experience. Again the original as the others have no point.

Deep dish pizza is always a constant debate. Many Chicagoans don't necessarily prefer it, but its what the city is known for as part of its food scene.

Mr. Poon..you had a chance to try Buona Beef, my personal fave.

On a side note, college baseball gets rolling this week. Pudue heading down to play Central Florida. Local freshman from Highland Indiana getting the Saturday start..pretty impressive for a frosh.

Hope you are doing well.

I've had Buona before but it was many years ago when I use to work out in the burbs.

Will be interesting how Purdue fares this year, they are slated to take a drop in the conference as they lost some key members off of last years squad. Was hopeful to maybe head down to Purdue to catch a game in late April when Nebraska plays them but my wife's due date has been bumped up so don't think I'll make that now.
