gw,

i agree it's pretty painful watching bush speak without a written speech....

but i think that plays well to a significant number of americans who like it that the pres. acts likes them (not a good public speaker) & doesn't talk down to them (gore) or sweet talk them (clinton).

from what i have read, lincoln wasn't a very good public speaker either & with his grotesque looks, he might never have become a president in today's world.

Just what exactly did you expect him to say???

If he would have said I made a mistake the Democrats would have been all over him. You can bet that they would have been on television saying that is why he shouldnt be re-elected. The best thing he did was not answer.

I would rather hear someone give a fumbling honest answer than one that has been rehearsed.

To me the best answer he gave was when he said he did not set policy according to the polls.

i hear you guys

just making the point that this isn`t the best venue for george.....it was a tough situation with the media looking to pounce on him with both feet...

stuff like............."nobody likes to see dead bodies on t.v."......yikes.......that`s just not something that should be said "on t.v."....

he`s not smooth....but,ar1 made some good points....sometimes these guys are a little to polished and rehearsed...

If kissing German and the Frenchs ass would have put about 25000 of there troops there. And that fewer of ours. Great kiss there ass. Were already kissing Saudis and they are doing nothing to help us. What has Turkey done took the money and run. How about are bribe to Poland and it got us 375 of there troops. Whats the differance witch ass it is if it helps save our soldiers lives.

Mr Hockey you spotted that to. Thats why for along time I thought we were talking with a 17 year old kid. Sad thing about the point of kissing asses is. They dont seem to understand all the ass were kissing already. And it cost all us Americans big bucks. There only answer to the truth is always the same. Say someting stupid about the person. Why? Because they have no real answer for the truth.
