Wayne:

Never said you were a fraud on your bets. Just your posts and your objective, 'fair and balanced" political links which you claim to be "fact" but whici are nothing more than right wing lies and spin.

All you have to do Wayne is admit that you post right wing opinion and propoganda disguised as fact and I will stop calling you a fraud. Until then I will speak the truth. Have a joyous and rich Christimas counting your premium dollars.

Probably so they don't get the shit kicked out of them everyday by bigots with guns.

Dogs, I would assume that the Urban areas of these states aren't suffering the same type of migration to the south and west as the rest of state. Also, the migration south and west started when we got a highway system. It's really not that hard to figure out that the reason people are migrating is because of something white, not brown.

i know baltimore city`s tax base has been so depleted by fleeing wage earners(crime and taxation) that there was talk of combining balto county and baltimore city to buck up the failing tax base....

and bobby, muslims aren`t getting the "shit kicked out of them"....you know that`s a straw man...

they`re running down college students with s.u.v`s....shooting joos in theatres....storming jewish women`s centers....

islamophobia?...if there isn`t some measure of islamophobia, there should be.......
lemme see.. beheading for accidentally driving through medinah; blowing up a mosque full of worshippers because you have a philosophical disagreement over theology; killing women and children in a pizza restaurant because you're in the middle of a decades-long tribal tantrum; continuing pronouncements from clerics that it is the sharia way or no way; rioting and killing bystanders because you wanted bugs bunny instead of mohammed on your comics page...need I go on?.....

the threat of islam is neither imagined nor irrationally exaggerated.....

people aren`t idiots...we`ve changed our whole transportation system...our security...our way of life.... because of radical islamists...

. when they lay the cornerstone for the first synagogue next to the first baptist church of mecca, then, the "mohammedans" talk to me about "islamophobia".......

And, just this week we have a nice Englishman, with an even nicer sounding Anglo-Saxon name arrested for killing 5 women in Ipswitch...

...and also a Sydney man arrested for murdering a 9 month old baby by slitting it's throat.

Now, admittedly a Westerner hasn't blown up anything for a while, but stay tuned...

BTW, I just need confirmation...Did you really say that not much blows up your skirt, and then once again, half a dozen posts later break straight back into your be-heading/14th century monsters rant again?...
...I mean, did you reallly??

Yeah, just wait until President Obama signs into law the Islamic Prayer in Schools Act in 2011, mandating compulsory prayer five times a day for our kids.

Oh yes forgot one other reason some went south. There job went there. Why? For some reason they can get cheap labor in the south. I guess some those folk in south have not realized there getting taken advantage of. A company I know well by sending jobs to Lexington, Clarksville and Macon. Saved over 4 bucks a hour for wages and Bennie's. It's the old game either you folks in Wisconsin & New York take pay cuts or we send jobs out. The way we win in that game is buy the stock. Screw your Brothers and Sisters. It's so funny at times. We talk about Americans stand up for each other. Battle the world. Pepsi apple pie. But yet we chit on each other all the time when the big cooperation's pull the strings.

more ridiculous moral relativism?.....don`t thay have meds for that?...apparently not...

and yes, guilty as charged...people that tell me "convert or die" tend to get my panties in a bunch.....

this islamophobia thing isn`t an american phenomenon......it`s a tactic.....

we`re heading down the path that europe`s already taken.....as a matter of fact, the european union has identified"islamophobia as the worst problem facing the european continent".....????

yep,you can`t make this stuff up....

http://www.iht.com/articles/ap/2006/12/18/europe/EU_GEN_Europe_Muslims.php

""Since the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks, many of Europe’s nearly 13 million Muslims feel “they have been put under a general suspicion of terrorism,” Winkler said."

note the convenient omission of any mention of the madrid bombing, beslan, the london bombing, car torchings and riots in france, bali, etc etc etc.....

nope, it's all just a wild, racist overreaction to one event five years ago.....

and i'm sure glad that there's no racism or xenophobia in the middle east....lol...unless you`re a woman,a different religion or gay....

i just pray to god(insert your favorite deity, have to be p.c.,you know),that it`s central london that`s 1 million degrees and off limits for the next thousand years first, and not n.y.c. or l.a...... `cause `WE still have time...

maybe then you guys will wake up...

here`s more good news for you(and bad news for the country)....

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/12/21/AR2006122101621.html

and this...europe still doesn`t get it...

http://observer.guardian.co.uk/world/story/0,,1978642,00.html

think.....

So much to comment on in this thread, but I'll take it back to the original premise, and pose this question to Wayne. Apparently you are surmising that due to liberal policies - I assume high taxes being the main caveat - people are moving south, like to Arizona. That being the case at face value...

What do you think these southern areas will do in the face of strained state government funds and programs? This comes straight from your link. Do you anticipate they will continue on their same path of no or low taxes? Or will they alter that as they have no current method of meeting increasing population numbers with the current economic plan? Of course, part of the problem is immigration, but you show quite clearly that people are moving there from the north. Your thoughts?

Not sure I understand your question Chad--If it was do I think South will have to adopt to higher taxes to support programs of the North I would say that would entirely depend which people are migrating to the south--if they are in fact the ones wanting to get out of that situation in 1st place I doubt it.

If your schools get over loaded and your roads. I can guarantee you will be looking for more tax money. We decided we wanted top education for the kids here. We use it to attract new families, and jobs. We are one of the areas in Wisconsin with good growth. And jobs needed to be filled. Our taxes are not low. But folks for our quality of living don't mind to much. And they are coming.

AR,

Your bitterness is showing again. Notice the little  at the end of my statement. I was just pointing out that the theories put forth in the original post (Muslims and liberalism) were just as ridiculous as what I wrote.

No doubt. I also found out the hard way that his 18 inch pythons are not just for show.
Fortunately, I never found myself on the wrong end of the big reptiles. Sorry for you, though. I hope you have a good doctor and better shrink.

I was not suggesting that these areas would adopt programs of the north, I was suggesting that these areas are struggling financially with the influx of people of high (city slicker rich folk) and low incomes (immigrants and illegals, etc.), and are searching for ways to fund existing programs - that will be getting larger due to the influx. In their search for answers, I'm sure the idea of increased taxes in some way will be discussed.

I also find it interesting that these people fleeing the bad stuff you portray seem to have done very well for themselves IN the situation they are fleeing from, otherwise they couldn't afford to flee. Again, I'm not sure that I see how they have been so damaged financially from the financial burdens they lived through while making their financial way. They certainly benefited from the situations afforded them in taxation, to make the money they made to pay taxes. There are more sides to the story than just "high taxes bad."
