Lived in Roswell from 2004-2006. I loved it but I also telecommuted.

Per other recommendations I would try to live close to work if you're commuting during normal rush hours. Alpharetta and Roswell are great but the commute would be brutal... I would not live that far from work. If you're single you'd like midtown... Buckhead has some great perky perks! Direct flights everywhere but also some awesome destinations within driving distance.

Traffic anecdote:
Drove the family to Orlando... planned to leave around 1pm on a Friday thinking I'd beat the rush hour traffic. Took me 3 hours to get through the damn city... kids were asking if we were almost there as I'm looking at Turner Field.

Just me, I will never ever live inside the perimieter again. I love the northern suburbs though. I have to commute just one day a week. I guess I'm more of an outdoors person. So I like being minutes from the lake and the mountains. Also, climate is awesome. Golf pretty much year round, though some summers can be brutal/

Great input guys. I appreciate it.

Wineguy and KOD.....I'll be glad to take you both up on your offers to show me around. Independently of course :mj07:

Wineguy....if I make the move.....we'll have to play some golf for sure, perhaps quite regularly. When my Dad passed away, I really put the clubs away unless it was a special occasion....but I do miss playing.
