Big 10 guy here and having a good year. Posted Penn St in a mauling last week. You have hit my 2 games this week. Hopefully I can add some insight to your post and help us all out.
Top Play Northwestern over Ill.
Ill sucks BUT...they were off last week this counts for something, they havent won a big 10 game so they will be fired up to do that. They are using there backup SR QB....
BUT Wildcats like you said become bowl bound maybe with win. (Big 10 needs to send 2 teams to BIG BOWLS )..
They got ass handed to them last week by Mich.
But the kill was not on till after QB fumbeled and then NW lost ball on the kickoff. Maybe they would of got drilled anyway but 2 turnovers back to back is hard to take. Wildcats have lost 3 recievers but the replacements have steped in quite nice. Good QBacking and good coaching helps.
Here is something quite suprising to me.
NU's strength of schedule is ranked ninth nationally; the Sagarin rating ranks it the eighth-most difficult, the toughest in the Big Ten. Northwestern's six losses have come to teams with a combined record of 52-14 (.788). Air Force, at 7-4, has the worst record of the six teams who have beaten Northwestern this year.
Not to shabby. Wildcats are #2 in Big 10 in Red zone defence.
They hung 14 on Purdue at Purdue after they regrouped from the Mich game. And you know Boilers were focused that game.
They held Pen St AND WISC to 7 points. And I think only 2 plays over 20 yards for the Badgers Cats are 5-1 ATS at Ill ...but may have ben dog some of those. So they seam to get fired up playing here.
On paper looks great BUT we all Know they still play the game.
I look for the Cats to show up. Get the win and cover in a low scoring game.
I also like Wisc not as much as NW and on the same line as you
Iowa on the road...Badgers at home.....Both had emotional games last week.
Other Big 10 feelings Might want to check with country see what he has.
Spartans lost there season to Mich...Not sure they got it back. I could seeing Smoker wanting to have a good finish.
Penn St got there much need win last week.......No Play
Ind plays there superbowl this Sat aganst Purdue.....Purdue much better BUT how bad do they want to beat the snot out of IU? any nards might take the points the first half. BUT NO PLay
Any way Maybe I will have time to give my side of big 10 Baskets.
Would be nice to give back to the board.
