Between Green Bay and Iowa City
My Best Bet as of 12/14/03 has to come from the four I've already made.

I'll go with a bet that may not win, but you won't catch me on the other side.

USC(-6') over Michigan
Going on two seasons now, when USC has better motivation or a good spot, it?s been a one way street - BIG. Men of Troy: I?m with you again.

My best bet for the Bowl Season:

FLA -3.5 vs Iowa

FLA had some tough early losses that hurt their Natl Status as a powerhouse program. Yet the gators fought back with very solid play the remainder of the season. This game is in Tampa so every FLA fan in the state will be there. As CWood said, this is a home game for Fla. Would you bet on Iowa +3.5 in the swamp??? Neither would I.

The Hawks will make it closer than what everyone thinks. It won't be as lopsided in the stands either, some say we sent 50,000+ to the Orange bowl last year, will have between 30-35k down in Tampa, hope they can all fit. Raymond James only holds 65,000

Iowa travels extremely well. Ferentz will have a healthy squad for once, I think we can run the ball on Florida enough to stay in it. Plus special teams always seem to favor Iowa with Kaeding and all. Florida's passing offense against Iowa's secondary scares me, Bob "hitman" Sanders will need to introduce himself to Chris Leak and co. early and often.

not a play either way at this time, just defending my Hawkeyes. Good luck to all this bowl season.

i wouldn't call it my best bet but i like the under 49 in tonight's game between memphis & n. texas.

with williams, who averaged 23 carries per game not playing & avery being a game time decision about whether he will play, i feel that memphis may struggle to score a whole lot of points tonite against a well tested n. texas defense. btw, these two players averaged 7.5 catches per game.

on defense, memphis has joe lee dunn as their defensive coordinator & will have his defense prepared to stop n. texas top runner, cobb & have n. texas try to beat them in the air. meanwhile n. texas qb throws about an average of 13 passes per game so i also think n. texas will not score alot of points either.

i also like fla. vs. iowa.

good luck
