Just want to hear some opinions about week 1.

Anyone think that a big favorite will go down?

If so, post any underdog that you think has a chance at winning outright.

My dogs for the weekend are....

N.Illinois (Won't win SU, + pts)
Rutgers (Could win SU)
Florida St. (Could win SU)



We'll see....my main plays are favorites this weekend. GL!!!!

Anyone think Bama could go down?

I don't see it, but I have heard that they are having a lot of problems this year.

Plus, Hawaii is looking good.

I still just can't see a team like Hawaii beating a team like Bama........in Bama.

Any thoughts?

I have both Wash St and Akron covering...and while it's a long shot, it wouldn't be out of the relm of possibilities to see one of them pull off a huge upset in week one. :scared :shrug:



...a little more likely canidates would include Utah, Ga. Tech, Arkansas, BYU and Memphrica. ;)

cougs as you know blew more games than about anyone Ive ever seen LY ... Duba is saying they are finishing everything in practice, running thru lines etc--wsu early in year and healthy seems to be pretty solid in past ... Hope you are right ...


Phil Steele touts arky to win SU in his newsletter upset special etc ... seems to me he loves them most years as his chic pick at home and is all over them again this year ... one thing that deters me from backing pigs is that usc is like NB and OU in old days, they can afford to lose all sorts of guys and be just as strong (best recruiting classes over last 3 years Id have to say) ... Ill be shocked if Pigs pull this one off

I saw that they were his "UD of the Week" and you're right, he does seem to like them...esp. at home. Rightfully so. Nutt has an excellent home record and that's an accomplishment being a middle tier school in the SEC.

However, I concur completely with your statement herein above...USC is unlikely to lose this game, but I couldn't back USC at anything over a TD. I put them in a few teasers. ;)

I don't see it myself........just wondering if anyone here thinks they can do it.

I am thinking of putting USC in a few teasers so that they just have to win the game.

oh and Phil Steele def thinks USC can go down, and i think more importantly(from reading articles from ark) That the 19returning starters and the rest of the razorbacks think they can win it

Sorry blg, I missed your post.

What is your reasoning behind this?

Historically, every time Arkansas is in a big game they seem to choke.

The problem I am having with USC is that I don't really know how good they will be.

There are a lot of question marks here with this team. Such as qb, rb, defense, etc.

I might just skip this game.

I could see it being a USC blowout, but I guess you are right, it would not really shock me to see Arkansas win.
