Above the Clouds....
Street Sence and Curlin look like the horses to beat and with a small field it's tough trying to find something that could split them. I'm not going wild on this race because of the short prices and could actually cash a ticket and lose money.

#1 Mint Slewpy throwing this horse in hoping to split the favs. or round out the tri. Don't like the fact he's picking up 10 pounds but the added distance should help.

#4 Curlin Shorter than the Derby and the tighter turns should help if he wants the front.

#8 St. Sense well you can't throw him out.

I will box the 3 in an extacta and Tri.
May also key 8/145 8/147

GL All!!

Like Circular Quay to split them.
Bad outside start at the Derby.
He was coming just like Street Sense and this is and extra 1/4 mile.
Add that it is a smaller field and a nice 3 hole start.
I think he goes off around his ML of 8-1 maybe a little lower(6 or 7-1).
Good luck

My mistake on the distance.Thinking of Belmont.

Still like Quay to makeup for the 8 week layoff rust.

Kegray,
Actually this race is 1/8 of a mile shorter don't know if that will make a difference though. Was also looking at C Quay. These races are tough because you're trying to pick an upset when there very well might not be one. That's why I'm not going crazy here. GL on your picks.

I was at the track last year when C Quay won the Hopeful. He went off odds on so I didn't bet him. Looks like X Changer, Roxy, and Flying 1st should set the pace. If it's fast C Quay and Curlin should close side by side. St Sence will be coming. Tough race to handicap and I never do that well in Stakes races. My best are 6 and 7 furlong races.

The Preakness is 1/16 of a mile shorter than the Derby. A mile and 3/16.
