None of those are upsets, even the ones where the winning team might be a slight dog aren't upsets. I struggled to find any true upsets this year, or Cinderella stories. Dog players will get HURT in this years tourney if you aren't careful. If a dog can't win outright, I would be cautious playing them.

This is the year of the faves....

I like Winthrop over Wassau and Mason over ND.

Certainly to cover the spread, with a better than average chance that both advance to play each other in a wacky second round game.

They both have the experience of not only being in the tourney, but having success in the tourney. Plus, and someone can check these for me, but I have teams from the Colonial Conference as 9-3-2 ATS in their last 15 tourney games!

Also, Butler over Tennessee in the second round. Everyone is taling about Tenn/Lville in the regional semi's, but the Bulldogs will spoil the party.

At least that is my story for now!

South Alabam over Butler the game is in Birmingham!

Hey Big Papi!

Not trying to counter you or anything, but since you brought up the game being in Birmingham, I figured you might like this quick anecdote.

A few years back I had read about an angle where teams playing in their home state the first two weekends of the NCAAa had an incredible ATS record. So, I tried it out. Lost. My. Shirt. Well, more than my shirt, but you get the drift.

I cant recall the year but i do remember watching on side by side TVs, Pitt cream Wisco in Milwaukee and Illinois flat out drilling Cincy in Columbus. There were others, but cant remember them off the top. They all lost, though.

While I have not been playing those on the blind after that experience, it seems to be nothing more than a 50/50 proposition as I have been monitoring it ever since.

So, the Jags might take down Butler. And, Birmingham might be an advantage. But, I had flashbacks to about four or five years when I read your post!

Good Luck!

Big Tennessee fan and cannot agree more with the post a few up. Butler provides the biggest challenge to Tennessee. I think if the Vols get past Butler, they handle Louisville and the UNC game will be a toss up. Those two teams play the same style as UT.

Having said that, my biggest wager of the year will be the Vols -19 against American. I feel sorry for those kids. A week of frustration will be taken out.

Then I will pound Butler if they beat So. Bama, my hope is the the Jags get the upset
