Chicago Bears +5 over New England P-men :) :)

Let's make no bones about it, the Bears have looked dreadful. Sex Grossman looks like another Cade McNown, too small, not a strong enough arm. Kordell has been his usual inconsistent self, and the running game has been sputtery at best. This team has some issues. New England has been firing at full throttle during the preseason, pounding out wins. Belichick has to be pleased with his squad's performance thus far, and figures to pull the reigns in here. He has no reason to use his complex schemes as film fodder for the real deal. Jauron needs something, anything, here, to get his team going. While he might not expose his starters to long minutes, I think the backups will put out, and I love the generous number in the preseason. The Bears also fall into the GAP theory system posted at "another reputable site" as well as being a 4x system play there. Home teams that won as dogs vs. opponents who lost as favorites were 12-21-1 coming into this year since '83 and Home favs who won away vs. opponents who lost away are 14-25 last 39 preseason ats. Only trend worry is home teams winning 2 straight vs. teams who have lost a pair are 11-3. Still, Bears get the nod here with generous points against a hopefully restrained Belichick.
