Reading first funds have supassed 1.8 billion to the 50 states and DC to train teachers to better teach. Pell grants are up 4.1 billion or 47% aince 2001, these help kids going to college. The education budget will be up over 30% next year as opposed to 2001. I can more in to detail on any of these if you like.
As far as health care, I agree more needs to be done, I am not as myoptic as you may think. Bush has created Health savings accounts, prescription drug benefits under medicare, strengthed medicaid and SCHIP which allows states to expand coverage, this has helped more than 8 million people. A health insurance tax credit has been established to help those specifically who lose their jobs due to outsourcing maintain some coverage. There has also been over 600 new health care centers established over the last 4 years. I know there is a goal to create about 1200 of these, all focus in urban communities. I agree with your concerns on health care, this is a growing and very concerning issue we need to address in the future. I'll address the environment soon, gotta go.
