I have taken quinine a few times. They would give it out for dehydration/cramps. It was in capsule form so no taste at all. No idea what you are talking about as far as "bitter".

when it's not in capsule form. They give cloroquine now which is similar, and it's horrible.

At the last minute I changed my mind due to the rebel fighting going on in congo, just didn't think it was worth the risk. Add to the fact mom was freaking out and old man was against it as well, so I decided to take a vacation and headed up to Whislter BC instead. Beautiful place
