printer help with computer

Can anyone help figure why all of a sudden after a kid plugged their computer into a printer of main home computer to print that now the printer will not recognize home computer?????

I have tried both USB ports, and no luck. I went to control panel, and it says now that printers are offline. Put printer in question online, and they still queue the documents to print and says no communication.....bla bla bla.


Any help from my brethren on here??? What steps do I take.

NO, I don't have the disc for printer to reinstall. Help??

go to control panel then printer then click on add a printer and it should find it

Thanks Vinnie...that was the issue, needed to delete other printers and it added automatically.
