Detroit at TORONTO

This game has some strong trends to the UNDER. UNDER is 6-2 in Weaver's last 8 starts, 4-1 in his last five vs TOR, 7-0-2 in Toronto's last nine games, and perhaps the BIGGEST factor, HP UMP IASSOGNA! He is 8-21 O/U this year, and I've been riding his games UNDER for awhile, as long as you have at least ONE good pitcher in the game to take advantage of his strike zone. His games lined at 9 are 1-7 O/U, and games from 8 to 9.5, numbers surrounding our line of 9 today, his record: 3-18 O/U!

His last 8 games have ALL gone UNDER, and he's UMPED two games by WEAVER, one this year, one last year, and BOTH went UNDER with WEAVER winning them both. His games with DET are 2-5 O/U past two years with DET winning 6 of 7, and games with TOR are 1-3 O/U, and TOR also won 3 games. I'm tempted to agree with NICK and go with DETROIT, but their lack of offense concerns me. I'll stick with my man DAN, and ride the UNDER for a DOUBLE PLAY!

Oakland at TBAY

The A's are hot again, reeling off six straight wins after dropping four straight. Their record on the road is 41-28, while TBAY is only 28-40 at home. TBAY is 8-18 in game 2 after a loss, and I don't see that improving today. BIERBRODT has pitched fairly well, but gets little support, 14 runs in 5 games. His one truly good game was vs MINNY however, who cannot hit a lefty, and when facing a top team, the YANKS, he was shelled in less than four innings. The A's hit lefties well, coming in batting .279 over the past ten games. They give HILJUS a healthy 7.8 rpg to work with, and I look for more of the same today. I normally don't lay big favorites, but I feel OAKLAND warrants it today.

Anaheim at MINNESOTA

Again, we got a good set-up for the UNDER. MINNY struggles big time vs LEFTIES and we have a good groundball pitcher in SCHOENWEIS who hopefully is not hurt by the turf here. Both teams come in struggling, ANA losing 4 straight, MINN is 8-17 in last 25 and 1-7 in LOHSE's eight starts. The UNDER is 11-1-1 in ANAHEIM's last 13 road games, and a HP UMP who is 9-16 O/U on the year. GORMAN however is 6-3 O/U when the line is 9 for some reason, so his record on all other lines is 3-13! His games ONLY average 8.14 rpg, so it's just an oddity for his games at 9 to post this record. With two struggling teams and an UNDER UMP, I'm going down UNDER again!

Montreal at PHILA

Total mismatch in this game... PAVANO has been worse than terrible since coming back from his surgery and PERSON has been stellar at home. PHILA is 12-2 at home when PERSON starts, and his team is 4-0 in his starts vs MONTREAL. Add to that MONT 4-15 mark in Game 2 after a win, and I see an easy PHILLIES win here. Laying the RUN LINE at a small price!

Florida at NY METS

We got a cold road team vs a HOT HOME TEAM at a relatively low price. FLA is 1-9 in their last 10 on the road, 3-7 in their last 10 overall and have lost two straight. METS are 7-3 in their last ten at home and OVERALL, and have won two straight. There's alot of things to mention here, but to me, this is just riding a hot team against a very cold team.... take the METS!

Arizona at SAN DIEGO

LOPEZ has been pitching excellent lately, apparently now that he is healthy and able to throw his great change. TOLLBERG has also done well, especially at home so I see no advantage in this game on either side. I do however feel this will be a low scoring game as both offenses are not doing much, ARIZ comes in batting .234 vs RH in their last 10 games, and the UNDER going 8-3 in their last 11 games. Taking the UNDER again here...

STL at LA DODGERS

I look for a higher scoring game in this one as ADAMS went long in his last outing for him, going well over 100 pitches, and once STL gets to the LA BP, it will be just that, BATTING PRACTICE! Also, HERMANSON seems to be like most STL starters and fare better at BUSCH, than on the road. BOTH teams very much in the playoff picture, so they should be battling here, and I look for this game to be in the 6-5 territory.
