A couple of diverse points:

Trench, I can say from personal posting experience that I continually railed on Bush for years, and still do. There was plenty of negative, hateful posts towards him and those that defended him. Probably close to the Obama diatribes we see here. However, most of the really negative stuff came LONG after the early attacks being made against Obama have in this case. There are a couple of legitimate posters here that attack Obama at every turn, and have good reason. There are a couple of worthless posters that add nothing but forum clutter at every turn, and continue to be embarrassed in their lack of substance or political acumen.

As for the Obama certificate thing - what he has produced has been repeatedly sanctioned as legal by the state of his birth, multiple authorities of the state and government, and has worked for many years. Common sense tells most that it is legit, unless one has a political agenda against him. It remains as simple as that to me. Maybe somebody answered this one before, too - how did Obama get a passport to begin with if his birth certificate was illegal? Sorry if somebody answered that - I haven't been around much this week.

And finally, why would anyone go to the trouble of having an alias to argue about this stuff, unless they went too far and got tossed? Man, what a life that must be.

Thanks Chad. You've answered my question. I'm guessing the serious Bush-bashing in here didn't really ramp up until it became clear that Iraq was a quagmire, there never were any WMD's and we had no exit strategy.
