When plays like this are not even called a foul! :nono:

Is this legal????

This series is an absolute joke and being controlled by the officials and unfortunate injuries to the Lakers. Injuries are part of the game (T-Wolves and every opponent the Pistons have faced) but officiating should go both ways.

From another site.......

Kobe's free throws throughout the playoffs:

1st Round (5 games):
40-44

Semifinals (6 games):
30-41

Conference Finals (6 games):
42-56

Finals (4 games so far):
13-14
--------------------------------------------
Kobe has taken 92 shots in this FOUR GAME series and only 14 free throws
--------------------------------------------
Chauncey Billups has taken 52 shots in this FOUR GAME series and 34 free throws
--------------------------------------------
Kobe's stats for the 2 regular season games against Detroit 25 shots and 15 free throws.
--------------------------------------------
In the last 3 games Tayshaun Prince has played 132 minutes guarding Kobe and only has 4 total fouls (and I have watched him cry about every single one of them to the referees)
---------------------------------------------

Looking at those above stats can you tell me if anything would be different?

I know there has to be some intelligent posters in this forum who can see what is happening in this series.

One more thing. PRINCE had better be MVP of the Finals if he is able to guard Kobe and possibly never send him to the free throw line in a 2 game stretch in Detroit.

Prince's numbers are better than Artest and Bruce Bowen and Pippen could have ever ever ever achieved... Seems like a very interesting story to me... But I am sure that Prince is superior to all of the players I mentioned above.

After Laker fans get their blood pressure back under control and Pistons supporters can stop laughing after realizing they are getting a championship ring handed to them, you can see how some of the numbers in my post are absolutely obscene.

KsYaS

Keep telling yourself that. That does not explain the whole picture. Look at the picture I attached. You obviously looked past it. An FYI, there was NO FOUL called on that play!!!!!

My bad KsYaS. Hard to tell sarcasm on the internet.

Go ask the 2002 Kings about officiating in Lakers games. Those poor Lakers, they never get any breaks. Officals know who better team is, they are watching it closer than you are. No favors would be given to the Pistons.

Your one of the delusional Piston believers who think they are dominating. Nice counter arguments. The person who took that image got it off the TV and watched the play and no foul was called.

Looks like we found ourselves another delusional Piston believer and Laker hater. Weak counter argument. :nono:

Then the lakers were better than the Kings???? Refs thing is about human error or just fixed!! no matter what is, because the games are done and nobody can do anything to change it! :D

REMEMBER I asked for iintelligent posters to reply. I especially want to hear those people who feel the officiating is being called fairly in this series. I saw a lot of them in Pt1gards threads and Ticali24's threads. Lets see some intelligent replies. I am betting we won't find any. I agree the Pistons should be shooting more free throws because they are more agressive/athletic. However, no way should there be this big of a disparity in fouls and free throws.

Yeah.......I would call a difference of +40 on the offensive rebounds stat dominating..........would'nt you??

I don't care who wins the series, but it is funny to hear Laker fans complain about fouls. Especially since they shot 40 free throws against the Kings a couple years ago, although I am sure all of those were good calls.

YES but that is not the reason the Pistons are winning. Don't the Pistons have a +41pt free throw advantage? I AM TALKING PTS, not rebounds. I am talking fouls called on Lakers and fouls not called on Pistons. I am talking about why the officials wont let the Pistons beat the Lakers on talent alone? Why? Pistons would not be up 3-1 without the free throw disparity. That my friend is the #1 reason Pistons are up 3-1 or maybe should be up 4-0!!!!! Pistons can outplay Lakers in every single area, but without the free throw disparity, Pistons WOULD NOT be up 3-1 against the Lakers. Sorry, facts are facts! Take a look at that picture again! Take a look at the statistics. Watch the games closely. Educate yourself.

I have no more money on the series. I took Lakers big for series 7-1 and to win in 6 and had $1500 Lakers to win it all even money bet. I hedged it all on Pistons to win in 5 games and Pistons to win in 6 games. I am Scott free. If it goes 7, I load up on Pistons. So money won/lost on series is not clouding my judgement. Plus I posted hard core data. Something your posts lack.

Scott:

You are completely out of control, and its just costing you more money than you have already lost. In your USC arguments, I always found your posts insightful, if not biased.

Here, you are hanging on to one thing and just distorting it into bs. Dont you think that the +41 offensive boards have something to do with the free throws? On almost every one of those second possessions, there is a foul, either due to fatigue or a putback.

Thanks for the USC posting compliments. Those guys in college foots are whack, I love proving them wrong.

That is incorrect. Majority of the fouls are coming 20+ ft away from the basket. I can get the #'s to prove it. Pistons get majority of their pts outside the paint.

Scott.. So whats your point? A- Lakers are losing series because of that call or B- Kobe is not getting enough calls C refs are not fair? D- Billups too many foul shots? E- Prince not enough fouls? Please tell me how DETROIT is getting this series handed to them.

Use your brain and try and figure it out. You basically answered your own question.

I don't understand why Detroit cannot win this series on their own without the help from the refs.

THis stuff makes me laugh....LA, a three-peat team who was handed the title from these same refs twice (specifically see sacramento in 2002 and portland in 2001).
has the gaul to complain about the officiating

Has the officiating been questionable... it always is. The aggressive team taking the ball to the hole ALWAYS gets more calls. The team standing around of offense gets few calls because their offense is seen as desperation in the last 5 seconds of a shot clock.

The smart play is on the total. There looks to be value in LA getting 3, but anytime somethings looks like value, it always loses. Plus NOBODY other than blind desperate LA fans can find ANY ON THE COURT reason to support LA. Support for LA tonight is based on hocus-pocus, trends, the fix, advertising, the refs, karma...nothing about a matchup or a key player making the differnece.
