I'd say your thoughts are the minority

The stats and facts back up my arguments. If the "majority" are not educated, well, I'll never convince them anyways. Of course, I could be proven wrong, but I have not seen an argument yet.

Bottom Line

Bottom Line

3 BIG 10 Teams in the top 5-6 in the NATION!

I doubt that has every been done before.

Big 10 is the best confererence, with the best teams, in the country.

PAC 10 will have no teams in the top 5.

AS SCOTT4USC would say - THOSE ARE THE FACTS!

USC could play OSU's schedule.

CAL could play 3 BCS teams with winning records like Michigan did.

Anybody in the Pac 10 can play Wisconsins schedule. :142smilie

GUESS WHAT? I can be a fool like you and brag about how the Pac 10 is so great.

:mj07: Thanks for making me laugh after USC lost today :mj07:

Why is Michigan an "easy out", with 1 loss by 3 to the consensus #1 team?

They shouldn't have been passed last week to begin with - but so many people want to see a different team play Ohio State (with no regard to taking the 2nd best team).....

That was my point.
I meant Michigan is the easy way out if USC and Fla both have 2 loses. No choice to make for the BCS.
A 1 lose Mich and a 1 lose Fla makes them do something.
I am on board with REMATCH. I was on board before USC lost.

AH.. now I understand what you meant.

I agree - a rematch would be the best for college football for 2 reasons:

1. It would provide the best 2 teams to play for the title (which was the case even BEFORE USC got drilled today).

2. It will further the argument for a playoff system for college football, as I'm sure the last thing the BCS wants is to have 2 teams from the same conference play for the national championship.

GREAT ARGUMENTS TO SUPPORT YOUR OPINION! YOU MUST BE AN EDUCATED MAN! :nooo: :nooo: :nooo:

Sorry.....just dont have the time to go fish something out of the Buckeye "Rah! Rah!" website and cut and paste here at Madjack's like you have done for years.

You are a joke, sir, and now your team is a joke this year.

Hard to dominate college football with 2 BAD LOSSES on your schedule. Hell, at least LSU lost to quality opponents. USC loses to 2 unranked teams. Dynasties don't lose to 2 unranked teams in the same year Scooter. I know you are just dying inside, probably crying your eyes out knowing that you will probably not even be top 5 in the country.

Scooter, before you break your arm patting yourself on the back about USC's tough schedule, you might want to consider the fact that the average record of their opponents is 7.7 - 5.6

Scooter,

Are you ranting out of frustration tonight? How can you make blanket statements such as USC will win the National Title next year ,, No Doubt, or Booty will win the Heisman next year. On the first note, I would say that there are 10-12 teams that all could win the title next year and your basing your comment without knowing whom will be injured, who will leave for the NFL or if PC will leave for Zona. As far as Booty winning the Heisman, I would not have him in my top 5 for next year. Do you think Booty played that much better then Colt McCoy this year? I really do not see USC having a Dynasty again in the near future, as the PAC 10 has become better with the infusion of better coaches and teams like Zona and Washington will only get better in the near future making the league tough compared to the cakewalk that it was before. I was pulling for USC to beat UCLA when Carib put up the early line on OSU-USC as OSU minus 5 I couldnt wait to hammer the Buckeyes,

Mags and all,

I truly hope Florida holds on because playoff backers need the controversy. Too bad USC could not hold up their end of the deal to produce more controversy:142smilie

Another display of your lack of intelligence.

USC is a joke after 10-2 season playing top 5 SOS, winning 5th consecutive conf. championship, injuries all over the place, AND in a rebuilding year with a 1st year starting QB! WOW! This is why USC is on top of the CFB world.

Good luck to OSU in the BCS NC game. Win or lose, wish USC could have had an opportunity to play. Wasn't in the cards. I look forward to playing OSU in 2008/2009.

Scooter, before you break your arm patting yourself on the back about USC's tough schedule, you might want to consider the fact that the average record of their opponents is 7.7 - 5.6

If your opponents don't play CRAP teams in OOC, of course the win % of your opponents won't be stellar.

That is why computers who base their SOS's on opponents winning % is flawed.

If team A beats 3 WAC schools in OOC, that is tougher SOS than if they played and went 2-1 against 3 BCS schools. FLAWED! Not smart to quote opponents WINNING %.

I truly believe that Michigan going will create more controversy....

Having all the other conferences shut out of the NC will create anger - even if the conference commisisoners know it is the correct thing this year) and they will finally back a playoff system.

IMHO

All this talk about SC losing players next year to the pros, how ridiculous does that sound. They are already getting paid better at SC than they would be in the Pros.

Scooter,

Are you ranting out of frustration tonight? How can you make blanket statements such as USC will win the National Title next year ,, No Doubt, or Booty will win the Heisman next year.

You don't follow USC closely. USC this year was YOUNG, INEXPERIENCED, AND ton of injuries on BOTH SIDES of the ball. USC only started 3 seniors on offense and 2 seniors on defense. USC next year is going to be UNREAL! Look at Arkansas last year vs this year. USC is LOADED. You will see. I thought USC this year would have 1-2 losses and "maybe" compete for BCS NC if they were lucky. I never even placed wager on USC to win it all and I could have had 10-1 odds.

As far as Booty winning the Heisman, I would not have him in my top 5 for next year. Do you think Booty played that much better then Colt McCoy this year?

You should see the WR's USC has in the wings. USC loses Smith and Jarret (ouch) but the WR's on the roster now offer completely different dimension and are faster/bigger. That will be the only huge loss on USC offense. On D, EVERYONE is BACK! Lights out D with super depth.

Oh yeah, forgot, this was Booty's 1st year starting. Pretty impressive! Maybe not to you. USC was so young, so inexperienced, so many injuries yet USC kept on winning. That makes USC so much better next year. USC will be similar to ARKY turnaround. Only difference is USC went 10-2 this year, ARKY was average last year. Scary if you think about it. PC is going to have a lot of fun next year on both sides of the ball.

I really do not see USC having a Dynasty again in the near future, as the PAC 10 has become better with the infusion of better coaches and teams like Zona and Washington will only get better in the near future making the league tough compared to the cakewalk that it was before.

THIS WAS A REBUILDING YEAR ON BOTH SIDES OF THE BALL AND USC HAD INJURIES ON TOP OF THAT! USC still went 10-2 with top 5 SOS. :scared

Why do you guys try to get scott to to be something he is not. He will never admit and or give unconditional credit to anyone other than SC. Yes you say props to ucla but not without telling the saga of sc having to play bla bla weeks and bla bla opponents. You will never find an angle on scott and he will always have what he feels is a topper. I look at scott the same way I do Rush or al franken. You know what you going to get when you tune in. You can tune in if you love to hate, but dont try to change them. I would say scoot got what he deserved today , but win or lose he gets what he wants around here which is attention. Feed him or starve him but you will never change him!!!!

It is also extremely difficult to win an argument with me. I hope some MJ posters can step up to the plate!
