You are worse than a vegan.. You cant just keep your views to yourself and respect the opinions of others. You have to throw it in their face and treat them as idiots b/c they are not as evolved and smart as you are..
I am not a religious guy.. But my wife believes in God and I am fine with that. Personally I wish I had a little faith. A lot of people feel comfort in it. Especially in times of need. But the last thing I would ever do is act like I know something she doesnt and try and make her feel inferior for not thinking the way I do.
You remind me of the south park where the elitist hippies from San Francisco were so SMUG they liked the smell of their own farts.. I mean 5% more people think like you do so it must be good for the country??? SMUG

There comes a time when everyone cares. When the doctor says, "Get your things in order. You have three months to live." At that moment, you probably care. Even if you've never given thought before, at that moment you probably think of the possibility of a Supreme Being. At that moment, the words grace and mercy may become part of your vocabulary. At that moment, chances are the headline stories in the news lose their importance. The superbowl loses its fascintation. You see family members and friends as you've never seen them before. You are about to be ushered off into eternity. Who cares? Everyone gets their chance.

Buddy you misunderstand my point. What I meant by who cares is who cares what other people choose to believe or not believe. ITunes nobody's business.

I think you are embarrassed about you and your wife's beliefs. I think you really know how full of shit it all is and you can't handle being reminded about it. It is easier to just yell at the source and try to make it go away.
When you get off your period, reread the original post and then take a look at what you posted and tell me who is attacking who?
I feel like this is good news. The fewer people who practice religion the less necessary it will be for smart dedicated people who are not religious to hold national office.
As it stands now, if you don't pretend to believe in god, you have no future in running this country.
So for people who are agnostic or atheist or generally uncomfortable in living in a fairly religious country, hearing 5% more people are like them than before is encouraging. They have a larger voice and will be harder to marginalize.

I would NOT CARE about seeing relatives I never see but, would CARE about grace and mercy if they are the names of the two strippers I would, no doubt, leave some of my earthly gifts with.
As everyone knows, God takes care of us all but, when something bad happens, that is just God testing us.
Thankfully, the country is moving away from some of this nonsense although there will always be the core population of rollers who will never evolve.

The good news is that Homo sapiens is a self-destroying species which over breeds, fouls it's own environment, consumes more than it needs to survive, and has developed methods for killing far beyond the need for defense or food. It's also the only species which self-justifies it's wanton behavior by inventing imaginary super beings.
By good news, I mean that we will eradicate our species by nuclear holocaust, climate change, and over consumption of natural resources, all the while claiming that those things are our God-given right.
Sometime soon, probably within this century, the last of us will be gone, and the Earth can return to it's normal balance of species.
