I am quite sure there are those on both sides Chad--I just get tired of Gumby and crew and their spin 24/7--their canned questions--planted town hall people etc
--and if I hear one misrepresentaion from him on pre ex conditions---
Wish he'd use his disfunctional mom again as example. Only possible way I can figure they didn't cover her is -she did the ole wait till after diagnosis to apply for coverage.
So, you're quite sure there are organizations and funding for the kind of uproars we've seen at these town hall meetings, but yet your ongoing point seems to be how well organized only one side is, and how it's being funded and their signs are clearly well-made. And, clearly, you seem to only get tired of Gumby and crew, and their spin 24/7, and the other noise doesn't bother you.
You know I have respect for most of what you post and your outlook on things, but you spend a lot of time trying to point out complete negativity and ridicule of one side of most issues. At least the ones you don't personally agree with, and often join in on the labeling and name association stuff. In fact, you coin a lot of these titles and names yourself... I guess I'm not out of line in pointing out how tiresome that is, since it seems to be an issue for you when others do it.
The thing is, you try and make these violent, screaming protests seem to be so mainstream and understandable, and the people supposedly just out speaking from their hearts. I don't think many of them really even have a clue what they're screaming about, and what they are upset about. Many of them are being funded, are plants, and ignorant of the issues, and get lost when they are on a rant, because they really don't know what they are mad about. Most of them don't like anything democrat-related, hate Obama, and don't like having a black President, and are even supposedly against some things that they are probably for, if they'd stop and think about it. Like the guy who was screaming about the government taking away his Medicare, for instance.
It's definitely a mob mentality - people watching these things on tv - which are widely covered by the "mainstream" liberal media, by the way (notice you haven't mentioned that lately...) and check out websites for talking points that are conveniently laid out for them to scream one liners and get on tv themselves.
No doubt people are worried about things, as they should be. But most of these folks that we watch on tv are definitely being helped to act the way they do. And many are the same people that for the past few years have been bitching about how expensive healthcare costs are. I don't think you really care too much about protestors, as long as they look and act like you do, and agree with your outlook on things.
